Is there anything i need to be wary of before converting my ork trukks?
I'm considerring making them appear to be ork Monsta Trukks. You know, bigger wheels, engines etc.
Essentially the wheelbase will be wider and the models will stand taller.
the reason i ask is by no means do i want to convert to give myself a strategic advantage, but better yet to give my ork army a personal touch.
What are your opinions?

Yes, building it any other way than the exact way the directions tell you is illegal!!!
J/K!
A larger wheel base for an ork trukk does mean a larger area to disembark from. But it's Orks, so it's just going to kareen(I think thats the rule) into whatever you wanted anyways.

Nice! Generally speaking, with transports the thing people are more worried about is conversions to make them smaller- easier to hide and get cover with. Occasionally larger can be an issue; like with a Battlewagon, making it larger can potentially create a larger "bubble" for an embarked Kustom Force Field, and a wider front of the vehicle can make it harder to get shots at the Battlewagon's weaker side armor.
That being said, with a Trukk you're probably safe. If you do run into a situation on the table where the larger size becomes an advantage somehow, offering to play it as if it were a little smaller (the size of the "stock", unaltered model) is a sportsmanlike thing to do and normally very appreciated by opponents.

I would give good money for a new Ork codex to include official size ranges for Trukk and Battlewagon conversions because an Ork army which is constructed by the instructions simply does not compute in my brain.

The new Ork trukks are pretty large... Just try to keep the profile and footprint similar. This can be done with monster wheels. Just measure and plan ahead.
Trukk: 3" tall, 2.5" wide, 5.5" long
Battlewagon: 3" tall without turret, 5" tall to top of turret, 3" wide, 6.5" long
Just don't go too big as you go from Trukk to BW.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

But those are Battlewagons... While you can do something similar via those techniques, just don't go as big.
