This really seems to be rarely enforced Kickstarter rule though, the most recent Red Box Games KS (Which ended only 2 weeks ago.) managed to get away with including their entire metal miniature range of over 140 models as add-ons. Black water gulch, Darklands, judge Dredd, and Mantic have all also managed to get away with included existing models in their campaigns with no hassles from KS.

Im an Early bird ISC backer and other than the 2 'Mini Creator' models there just aren't enough goodies that really interest me that i want to spend the remaining $50 ISC credit on. The existing goodie models may also be cast in high quality resin, but the fact i can get most of them for roughly $5 cheaper in metal directly from Taban isn't exactly encouraging me to choose those models.

(Don't think im trying to bash the campaign, like everyone else backing it i really just want to see the final 48 hours of this campaign be a massive success.)

The green Youkaï have been unlocked. 3 more minis for the ISC Sensei pledge and we are closing in on the Yello Oshoku.

When it unlocks, the modular additionnal boards are going to be added to lower pledge levels, for free.

Part of the issue with existing/new stuff seems to be how you design your pledge levels

You need to ensure that every pledger getting 'stuff' picks up something (substantial) new made for/by the KS in addition to any pre-existing stuff

(so a new keyring at $2 would be no use if you were adding on designer running shoes at $200 for example)

If your pledge levels mean that a backer can end upn picking up only existing stuff KS seem pull you up if complaints come in

(for example Red Box Game required you to pledge for at least one 'rank' of the new KS models before you could add on the existing stock)
