Since the Finecast ones are so horrible (And pricy) With the new Dark Harvest List, Flayed ones actually look viable.
So, what do people do to substitute them? I'd like to find the old metal ones, but that's easier said than done. If that's not available, what do ya'll think is the best alternative?

Would getting Warriors and exchanging their guns for plasicards claws be an option?

For less then the price of the current gw failcast flayed ones that look like garbage you can get the actual good looking ones (the old metal ones) off of ebay or gou can have some fun with plasticard andd green stuff making your own unique flayed ones

That does seem like the best.
You cut off the gun handle at the grip, and then file that away for the right hand, and as for the left hand you have to either sculpt your own hand (there's tutes for FO conversions everywhere) or somehow delicately take it off of the gun.
I personally have warriors that are being converted to immortals and I'm using the leftovers for FOs (which means I can either shorten the length of the gun by taking the hand out on the bottom or I sculpt my own hand; I prefer the full length guns).

This seems like a rough option, I'm a poor modeler at best, I really wouldn't know how to begin that sort of project.

I would have thought converting warriors to flayed ones would be a relatively simple conversion.
I'm not sure how articulate the warriors are so this is where my idea might fall flat on its face, but what if you remove the gun from the hands, file down the fingers so they're smooth and glue on plasticard claws in the desired shape (finger blades, power klaw style scissors, pincer style, etc.)

years ago I played someone who used warriors converted into flayed ones, they were literally just warriors with the guns cut off and bits of sprue carved into claws, they were pretty simple and looked great, so i cant imagine it being too hard

On the bright side flayed ones basically just covered in rags of skin and stuff so any poor modeling can be covered up with green stuff skin.
a quick conversion with maybe some extra lighting claw tip bits on warrior hands would look nice i think.

This actually seems plausible. One necron arm is grabbing the gauss flayer, the other is missing a hand that's sculped into the gauss flayer.
Remove hand, add 3 bits of sprue to each stump, profit!
