I was told the 2 player starter set for hordes (legion side) was 15pts. I was reading my rule book and was talking about points on the cards. The points on the cards do not equal 15. they equal 27 points. Lilith has a 6 wb. So what points was I playing? 4 shredders @2 each, canrivain @11 and blighted warspears @ 8. 27 or 15 or some other number?

On a warlock/warcasters card you subtract those points from your Warbeast/Warjack total.
A warlock/warcaster basically gives you "free" points to spend on beasts/jacks. So the total is actually 21, which is what the 2 player starter boxes contain. Its the single army battleboxes that have 15 points.
Say I'm playing pKreoss who has 5 Warjack points.
I take a Crusader and a Vanquisher as my Warjacks. Normally they cost 14 points, but I subtract Kreoss's 5 jack points, so I've actually only spent 9 points.
So your Everblight list is
Lilith -6
Shredder+2
Shredder+2
Shredder+2
Shredder+2
Carnivean +11
Warspreads +8
-6+8+11+8=21 pts

Ok cool thank you. Looks like I had 6 points more of models than my 2 opponents last night. I guess they got the starter pack and the 2 player packs confused when they said 15 points. That's prob why I won... That sucks.

Yeah, the 2 player sets usually add a unit to the normal faction box.
The Legion starter box is Lilith, Carnivean, and 4 Shredders. The 2 player box adds the Warspears.

so my advantage was not really that huge? Even though they are like 8 pts? The cyngar guy had 1 heavy jack, 3 light jacks, and his caster. The khador guy had some snipers, a heavy jack, a light jack and his caster I think. Can't remember now lol.

Having the warspears would probably be a sizable advantage over the regular battlebox. I'm surprised your opponents didn't pick up on it, though, as I would've thought a bunch of heavy infantry would obviously not fit in a battlebox force.

8 pts would be a sizable advantage at almost any point size in Warmahordes.

That depends, do you think having 6 points more than your opponents isn't a huge advantage? Especially when they're playing 15 points list and 6 points is nearly 50% of their army

Well, once you include caster points, it's actually just a little over 25%, but that's assuming only battle box stuff was used by the others.

It doesn't sound like you were all that far off, and sounds like your opponents probably included something extra to make up for your Warspears.
Cygnar box is Caster, 2 Lights, 1 Heavy (so sounds like an extra light thrown in at 4-6 points), and Khador is Caster and 2 heavies (there are no Khadoran light jacks), so sounds like the snipers were their extras (2-8 points, depending on if using 2 solos+unit, 1 solo, just the unit, etc).

If they were playing at 15 points then it was probably a unit of widow makers for the khador player.
