Is this app still buggy and or slow? Do people use this primarily over the physical cards? I just ordered the legion faction Declan's wish I had waited since the deck is half the price I paid.

It's actually pretty stable now. It's still not perfect, and has some odd idiosyncrasies, but for what it is (a card replacement) it works pretty nicely. I use it pretty much exclusively, rather than carrying around my cards. The list-builder aspect is still thoroughly mediocre, though.

From what I've seen, a couple guys I know use it, it seems to crash occasionally and is a little slow, but not as bad as it used to be.

If I had something that would run it I'd probably get it.

It is decent as a reference tool, but it has a long way to go as both a card replacement and list builder. After nearly a year it still doesn't have the most basic of theme list validation, let alone the appropriate point reductions. As far as buggy and slow, it does seem rather sluggish at times.

The main issue is its poorly designed for its intended purpose.

It also had a lot of expectations placed on it because of the utility of the free app that was forced off the market by it's release. Whether it was fair to place those expectations on War Room is a matter of opinion, but I think a lot of them were, especially when it comes to the list builder.

I read that in tournament play if you crash and can't get it back up and restored in X amount of time you concede.

Oook so some points are off on it? That can be BAD esp in my case and new to the game and not know general changes.

Yeah I read about ibodger. No off topic stuff here. That's all I'm saying on that. I got war room downloaded and played with the free stuff. It's pretty neat. I bought the full deck bundle for 60$ since you get basically 3 1/2 decks free when doing it that way. The rules from other armies I can benefit from since I don't know what 98% of what the models can do ATM. It took me 6 years to get 40k an they are changing it again lol. I did not have this kind of resource...every units rule for 60$ ...I can't imagine the price it would cost lol.

Why are colossals and gargantuans not in the war room? So far the app seems neat esp the health part and marking and rule references...that's pretty huge for me ESP the icons meanins.

What do you mean they're not in the app? They are, if you bought the decks.

For certain tier lists that decrease the points costs of other units. For example I play Mercenaries, and if I was to play Captain Shae in his tier list, because honestly there's really no reason not to, he makes all the solos I can take -1 to their cost. The app doesn't account for this, so my Shae list always shows I'm over in points.

They're in the Warjack/Warbeast section, since that's what they're counted as. They don't have their own unit type like Battle Engines.

Yeah, I bought all the decks. When I go to card libraries there is a tab for - warlocks, war beasts, units, solos, war engine, and attachments. I do not see any entry for the big big guys.

Colossals and Gargantuans are Jacks/Beasts. They're probably hiding at the bottom somewhere.

They are in there alphabetically in mine, under their respective tab (warjack for colossal, warbeast for gargantuan)

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

I like warroom, yes it's not quite as slick an army builder as iBodger was, but it works and it's a brilliant reference tool. The price point is pretty great considering you get perpetually updated rules throughout the edition. I use an iPhone though, so I haven't really had many stability issues with it like some android users have.

I'd definitely recommend it to new players, if only so they can get references for the models and theme lists without having to buy books and a few NQ mags to get them. Battle college is great for that too, of course, but it's nice to have the actual card rather than trying to connect the dots from the vague descriptions. Plus, the rules reference, while not absolutely comprehensive, is excellent for all the rules you normally need in a game, and even when I'm using physical cards in a game, I get use out of warroom because of that.

I like War Room because you could use it to replace the cards which reduces clutter on the tabletop. It has full, up-to-date model rules and damage tracking. But if you were to focus on just the army building aspect, iBodger was superior.

My favorite thing about iBodger was the Collection part where you could enter all the models you owned across all factions.

O that is neat making a collection. What war room needs is a photograph of each model with its card. I have to keep referring to other sources to see which model it is. I heard you can share your list and cards during a game with a sync up or something. I'm guessing you need Internet for that...or is it just blue tooth?

I've never had the issues with the app. However I use it almost entirely as a rules/model reference, so I can't speak to the battle functionality.

The Battle Sync/List Sharing is internet-only to my understanding.
