Vindicator might be better to deal with a more horde based army. apart from that I dont know much. kinda new to CSM...

Hmm I would kinda think low end on the troops but I have never seen the Heldrake in action so I dont know if they would provide enough killing power. Those three squads seam like they have some good survival in numbers. I also not 100% on the HQ choices but I think they sound pretty lajit.

Curious to why you give Plague marines flamers ? Most of the list I see use plaguemarines
with MG's or PG's but never flamers.

Also this gives you a further 3 toughness 5 wounds to remove in a very durable unit, and remember that if you place them correctly you can use all sorts of Look Out Sir shenanigans when the Lord is down to hes last wound

The bale flamer is torrent weapon so it use the tear drop. Honestly the baleflamer is not as brutal against horde nid as the low count marines. The potential for T9 and FNP saves, even TK is going to reduce the effectiveness somewhat.

IMHO, I like to put melta guns on my plague to kill armor. If you are facing only nids then I would use plasma guns to deal with mc.

I don't like nurgle marines... They have a lower initiative and are extremely expensive.
Personally I would swap them out for regular marines with MoN, ccw's and flamers/ meltaguns. You lots more for your money (points) and rapid fire boltguns is devastating on nids, especially for overwatch. Do this and I'm pretty sure you could win without too much trouble...
Heldrakes are awesome and nids will struggle to kill them.
The Lord should have an invulnerable save, so take the sigil for 25 points.

Yes I know all about the almighty Helturkey and its horrible breath and what it can do to meq's. And thats exactly why I dont use it, there no sport.
True, a regular flamer will be hard pressed to touch a Fex, but almost every other thing in the list will have a field day. The DP and Turkeys get close and personal and rips them to shreds, and the Heavy support guys should make som nice holes with concentrated firepower one monster at a time. So that leaves the PM's to mop up the critters with burning promethium. I can see it work.

I disagree. Regular CSM with the mark of nurgle aren't even close to being plague marines. They do nothing to MCs because they don't have poison weapons. They don't have FnP, they aren't fearless. and they're only 6 points cheaper with the mark of nurgle and a CCW. I'd rather pay the extra 6 points a model and have FnP, poison weapons being able to hurt mcs, poison weapons rerolling wounds vs gaunts, genestealers, gargoyles and the like. and the fearless is what really comes in handy. Gaunts have a better initiative than regular CSM so the i3 doesn't really hurt the Plague Marines at all.

Plague Marines are extremely good I know but it's the low model count that I feel will let you down. We all know how many models tyranids can bring to the table, they will just get into an assault and that's ist fir the rest of the game. Just swapping blow blow in the assault phase.
More models means more bolters and more flamers, and more units to work tactically.
Either way, it's your call and your preference, there can never be a set list saying hey this is how you beat this army.

I liked your list, and went to shamelessly copy a majority of it, but I found that your a little over 1750

Did you underpay the plague marines? If you subtract one PM from each group, you get down to 1756, in which case I'd drop two cultists to get under 1750. Best option in my opinion if you want to keep it as close to your original list as you can
Personally I'm not a huge fan of the Defiler and would consider dropping it for something like autocannon havocs. Yes the defiler is tough, and the long range battlecannon is nice, but its big (hence harder to hide), only bs3, and expensive. That alone will get you to 1724 points (and let you keep those PM at 7), then I'd go about getting some wargear on your barebones lord (like blakman said), or I'd really consider switching out those flamers for plasmas, subtract cultists as needed.
This is a rough idea of what I'm thinking:
Demon Prince, MOT, PA, Wings, Black Mace
Lord with Burning Brand and lightning claw, mark of Nurgle (this needs work, but I wanted to throw in the burning brand to help with the flamer templates i took away)
20x Cultists
7x PM, 2x plasma guns Rhino
7x PM, 2x Flamers Rhino
Baledrake x2
Chaos Pred, Lascannons everywhere
3x Nurgle Oblits
Havocs with 4x Autocannons
1749
