If they ever got me one with decent tips that would have been great, but I gave up after a couple of reships. out of 4 brushes only 1 was in good shape.

The rest of the design was wonderful and with kids around the house guarantees they wouldn't get destroyed. but right now the brush tip of a master's touch brush (the hobby lobby knockoff) has worked better.

That's always going to be the issue with buying brushes online, you can't pre-check them, and the company selling them will rarely do it, even if asked (providing you can ask).

I just buy mine at local art stores, you pay a bit more buying locally but you can inspect the brushes before purchasing.

That must be some serious bad mojo there, my whole set was pretty epic :-/

All my brushes are gw. Had them all over a year and except for the old fine detail ones they all work fine

Mine worked 'fine' as well (although I chewed through a load of the detail brushes) however these brushes I've been using are a much better quality (and not that much more expensive per brush compared to GWs).

I recently bought two GW brushes, looked perfect in store. I've painted about 2-3 models with them and they are complete trash. The detail brush splays out all over the place after the first swipe of paint, and the fine detail brush splits into 2 points shortly after paint is loaded. Could not be disappointed more with GW brushes and I'm surprised to hear all the good reviews of them.

I've thought about ordering a few of these basix brushes though, but with the added shipping cost its almost too risky that I get a crappy one!

I'd give them a ring (or email) and see if they have a replacement policy. One of the posts above seems to sound like their is one. Alternatively you could also see if they have anyone in the States (or Canada) that they distribute to.
