with all of the other loyalist primarchs who survived the heresy but who were lost throughout the millennia we atleast have a general idea about what might have happened to them, like for example The Khan had something happen while hunting Dark Eldar. But with Russ to my knowledge we know nothing. If someone could share their theory with me about where Russ is or what happened to him I'd be proud to hear it.

He apparently went into the Eye of Terror, possibly to hunt for Magnus and/or link up with the 13th Company. As a Space Wolf player, I prefer to believe that he's still in there messing things up and preparing for the "Wolftime".

Russ might have gone looking for some rogue 'fallen' marines. His task force was shattered by combined chaos fire and they got separated and Russ landed on a planet and has been fighting chaos.

He went off into the warp looking for the 13th Company and was never seen again.. I mean, seriously?? Who just goes into the warp??? Nobody. Except gak for brains Leman Russ, who, even though he claims (and everyone thinks) he's amazing in combat, got pounded to a draw by Lion El Johnson. You heard me. The Mexican guy, Dark Angels, the one nobody cares about... Anyway, yeah, he's in the warp or dead, or preparing for the 'wolftime', where he'll come back, but this is essentially a myth by the Space Wolves.. Apparently Leman Russ said it, but nobody really knows, they're all dead except Bjorn and nobody listens to him xD

I think he is most likely lost in the warp, the 13th Company came back and Russ was absent as far as I know. Maybe Magnus has him but doubtful more likely he is stuck endlessly battling demons somewhere.

So that means wherever he is, he's naked...

Why, i'm a chaos fan, I like choasy stuff, besides the Space Wolves having been having issues with imperial authorities for quite some time and i'd like to see them slip their leash because the Emperor is no longer holding it. The Space Wolves have no love for the Imperium but rather loyalty to the Emperor as well as a complex code of hounor, with the Emperor dead and the Imperium infringing on what they see as right and honorable their rebellion seems inevitable. Russ would just hasten if and make it more a strategic threat to the Imperium rather than just another group of pissed off astartes.

Leman Russ was never stated to have been in the Imperial Guard. Ever.
He was the example Space Marine Chapter Master in the the 1st edition rulebook wherein it was stated he 'rose to prominence' during the Lucan Crusade, was appointed an Adeptus Terra Special Agent then two years later being appointed Imperial Commander which is also an Adeptus Terra rank not an Imperial Guard one - it was the rank held by all Space Marine Chapter Masters and all Planetary Governors.
