Speaking of Imperial Guard, I did a command squad late last year with a batch of converted miniatures.

It was not an easy task, as I was working with solid hunks of metal

Here is the first:

Nice conversion and glorious painting, what more could one ask for?

How to paint Skeletons the way I do if that's something you'd fancy trying.

I love the illusion of the torso armor as lamellar.

If you make it to Adepticon, the Wappels have a very popular seminar in custom base making.

I'd highly recommend it.

Again, not that my base in any way compares to his skill, but it's something I made in that class after one session.

Topic name: Some fun converted Vostroyans xDD A bit of irony there, but yeah, why are your Firstborn yellow? xS Seems a bit strange, considering they're usually red and a black/brown, but still looking *amazing*, very well done! ;D

Wow, very impressive conversion and painting, top notch!

That base is absolutely stunning, which is not to say that the miniature isn't impressive, but the base itself really wowed me.

And he still has trouble receiving a signal when we're trying to watch the game. Maybe he should stand on the roof and strike a pose.

I love the conversions on the bases and on the radio packs. Maybe you should try converting a Ballisk into some type of command platform?

Your painting style shows amazing style and grace. These are the most artistic Vostroyans I have ever seen.

Many thanks for the kind words! These guys were definitely a challenge

The neat thing about the IG is that they are, for the most part, local militias. That provides the widest possible variety of design possibilities by far. At a certaon point, SM chapters can start to become confusing when you try to get inventive!

It looks like more and more mini companies are taking up the slack. Not only do you have Victoria doing various IG stuff, but Lead Adventure also has some very unique factions!

I am painting up a few of those right now...

Plus, Raging Heroes is starting their KS on June 4th! That will be amazing, and it's what I will be using for Adepticon next year.

Here is a very 'standard' standard bearer I made the sculpey base as heavy as possible to make him less top heavy!
