I may end up looking a bit silly but here goes...

The Ghost Ark 'Repair Barge' rule adds D3 models to a Warrior unit "at the start of each Necron movement phase". Simple. But if you have a despairtek with Veil of Darkness (or Obyron for that matter) you can teleport around in the movement phase, potentially meaning you could gain men back from Ark A, then teleport for more men from Ark B. RAW suggests this can't be done but I thought I'd get some clarification.

Thanks in advance

When does the Veil or Tek go off?
I'd imagine using a governing order if they both go simo.

IE:

Trigger VoD than apply repair

Or the more likely imo

Apply Repair than trigger VoD

That's how I interpret it, although I don't think it's that good of an idea. For warriors to form an effective shooting block, you need a good number of them. The larger your unit, the more likely misshaps (due to being unable to place all models) are to occur. Blast weapons also get seriously scary due to deepstrike clustering.
But that's a tactics issue. Totally legal. If it ends up actually being good, even better.

As jdjamesdean said check when the veiltek/obryan use their special abilities.

It's not legal. Repair Barge is done at the start of the movement phase. Veiltek/Obryan teleport is done when the unit moves. If you move the unit you cannot add models.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

It says for both veiltek and obyron "during his movement phase instead of moving normally", to clear that point up. I'd say purely on RAW that it would be repair then veil, but if others have alternative interpretations fire away

Whups, my mistake. I had the Monolith's eternity gate rules stuck in my head. That's the fancy teleporty thing that goes off at the start of the movement phase, not the Veil.

Though the Veil doesn't work, with the monolith and the Ghosts you can do the use, gate, use thing that you wanted to do.

Edit: Grammar
