Just want you to know that your choices will NOT be locked-in. You will make your final choices once the sculpts are finalised. As mentioned earlier, we never want our pledgers and future customers unhappy with our minis.

Unlocks + a new Cyberzombie
Update #59 · Jul 5, 2013 · comment
Recent Unlocks

At $545,000, a Free Upgrade was unlocked for 3 Heroines:

Commander Irina Vega, Orbital Strike Commander (KST), gets 1 extra arm (pointing away) and 1 extra head
Doctor von X, Field Medic (IE), gets 1 extra head (unmasked) and 1 extra right arm. Her unmasked head will look very much like this one.
Aaqila Noyakin, Heavy Gunner (KST), gets 1 extra weapon (heavy gun) and 1 extra head. (I've added her image below as I don't believe it's been shown in the course of this Kickstarter.)

At $555,000, the first Uber-Stretch Goal has been reached!

YES!!! The Jet Girls Unit will now be put in production!!!
As mentioned earlier, the Jet Girls illustration are just some silhouettes. We are really sorry about this... Our concept artist is currently finishing the werewolves, and his last night's sleep has only been a 2-hour stretch. Since the Jet Girls will be made of a slightly toned down version of Drusilla with various poses, I'm sure you'll agree that it made more sense to let him focus on the beastly werewolves
At $560,000, the Free upgrade will unlock the following:

Ludmilla Magdanova, Strategist (KST), gets 1 extra weapon (pistol) and 1 extra head
Lady von Stroheim (IE), gets 1 extra weapon (pistol) and 1 extra head (without helmet)
Arthemesia Rozenkrantz, Strategist (IE), gets 1 extra right arm with close combat weapon (sword) and 1 extra head

Upcoming Freebie at $590,000

During this Kickstarter, we have received many requests for more Cyberzombies. Therefore, in addition to eventually making a full unit of them if the $700,000 Uber-Stretch Goal is reached), we decided to add one as a Freebie Stretch Goal.

So here is W101, who will be unlocked as a Freebie at $590,000 for free to all Lieutenant Box Pledges and above.

Do you already have plans for her?

I feel the communication side is grossly mismanaged from their side, language barriers, small crew, tough campaign for novices, all take their toll, in any case I still feel confident they will deliver.

I have to admit I feel like this one is akin to the Avatars of War indie go go campaign, in that stuff will miss deadlines badly with an overall nonchalance of the creators driving that lack of timeliness.

Still, I'm comfortable enough to keep my Commander. I like the renders/prints we've seen thus far, and I'm willing to bet that we'll see equivalent work after the kickstarter ends.

At this point I am expecting it to be at least a year before everything is out.

I'm sorry but I have to go a smidge off-topic, having a 6 month delay and only telling people 2 weeks before the ship date is not having their act together. Especially when CMoN is continuing to start new projects with several more currently in production.
I would let your view of CMoN slide if they had quit starting new projects and told the other ones that were started after Relic Knights that there could be a delay. Currently CMoN seems to be between Reaper and AoW, they try to be prepared and act as a top of the line production but if they have something go wrong they act as if it were nothing and ignore the image they give customers.

Back twards on-topic Dreamforge is a better example, great concept, the KS exploded but they had a great contingency plan, they were as close to 100% prepared as possible and are still experiencing big delays.

Zombicide S1 shipped on time. Guilds of Cadwallon Shipped early. Zombicide S2 is scheduled to ship early. Rivet Wars is still on time.

I think that its important to look at those four projects at the same time that you look at Sedition Wars and Relic Knights and ask yourself how much weight you should REALLY put on CMoN and how much responsibility you should heap onto Studio McVey and Soda Pop. Guilds of Cadwallon was the only 100% CMoN internally produced KS. It arrived early. Everything else has been developed by other, lets call them 2nd party, companies with CMoN simply acting as the producer. If the development companies don't get things like renders, greens, etc. in by deadlines, there's not terribly much CMoN can do. Again, I simply think that's important to remember.

And I can speak for the language barrier. It's also a cultural barrier. I get fed this gak all the time.

And if I can be so bold as to say that there wasn't even a single render of ANY Kurganova Heroines shown, as well as a single IE mini. That video is therefore very unhelpful.

Kalashnikov: if they want comments on the video, I'll throw in my 2 cents. The intro was too long, and focused on things entirely unrelated to the product. The shaky-cam shots and dynamic 360s are not helpful when trying to show a sculpt. Had I not known for months they were making minis, I'd have thought it was for an computer-animated series. If they spent months on the video, then the delays should be phenomenal. Back in the days of Final Cut Pro, you could bang that out in two days. No comments: we're not impressed.

No offense, but this statement from Update #57;

Asharah Raging: “I'm not sure what to tell you. Compared to most other companies, our sculpts are very very very close to the concepts. But there will always be subtle changes to make sure that the models are castable and not too fragile. And please remember that we showed the models of the Troops BEFORE THEY WERE FINISHED. We will make sure NEVER to do that again. We did that mainly because of scale issues on which we wanted people's feedback. This means that these renders were shown mostly to help us get a better feel for what the backers were looking for in terms of proportions and scale, and some details were clearly stated to be unfinished. We were VERY clear about that, but nevertheless, many people did not bother to read the comments, drew many mistaken conclusions about these images, and shared them with everyone.

This is just borderline insulting.

Plenty of campaigns have shown work in progress renders and it has only enhanced their campaigns, in fact (as I pointed out in the comments,) here is one from KD:M at roughly the same time before the end of the campaign. Notice that is very clearly is un-posed and unfinished and labeled "work in progress". One can only imagine it was the beneficence of the unspeakable gods Poots is in thrall to that spared him from backers that did "not bother to read the comments, drew many mistaken conclusions about these images, and shared them with everyone".

Truly it is a time of witches...

Avatars of War has proven before the indiegogo campaign that they hardly deliver what they promise, everyone was warned by the Chaos Warriors.
Raging Heroes has proven to always deliver what they promise, but possibly one or two months late. BTW they contacted the casters first for their schedule, that is one reason why RH started the kickstarter late: All casters were booked by other kickstarters and no chance to deliver the product in a timely fashion with an earlier kickstarter start.

So...Raging Heroes has proven that they can be "a month or two" late for a regular release? For their normal releases.

Now they have 2400 people that are giving them money, and we're supposed to expect that it's ONLY going to be "a month or two" late? That's an awful leap of faith.

They've also proven that their interaction with their customers and any criticisms is horrible. What happens when they release a miniature that no one likes? I mean, we know we're no longer going to see any of them before hand. They made it pretty clear of that.

I'm dumping my pledge. I have one of the EB lieutenants. If anyone is interested in it, PM me and I'll let you know when I dump it so you can hop on it.

I have to agree with the above AOW have a real issue with delivering and communication, most delays in these Kickstarters are down to the promised deadlines provided by the 2nd party.

If they fall behind there is nothing that the company can do, there is no way of speeding up the production by intervening just hope they pick up the slack.

Mark has had the same issue with his DreamForge Kickstarter due to time delays from his manufactures , there is nothing he can do but wait for them to catch up and take the wrath from the backers.

1.) I am a RH customer since their first miniature, the first edition Ashara. I found their interaction with customers and reaction to feedback excellent in all those years. Delivery was often delayed, but the products always excellent.
2.) Kickstarters that are not just hidden preorders but made to expand a business, can't be planned to the second. Also many kickstarters don't show renders, or even prints, see Mantic or Warzone. That's normal for kickstarters. Kickstarters are not for the weak at heart.
3.) They just said that you get renders before finalizing your order, but after kickstarter.
4.) RH managed some big orders before, e.g. Blood Vestals: http://www.ragingheroes.com/blogs/news/6013976-blood-vestals-theyre-here
5.) Haven't pledged yet, but I would be interested in an EB Lieutenant.

Here's an interesting thought exercise: in the various posts complaining about RH, replace all references to Raging Heroes with Games Workshop instead. And remember how much money many of us continue to give to GW for no freebies, absurdly high prices, no communication, no advance information, bad sculpts, etc.
