So, just got my freebie models, and they are awesome, but the undercoat will not stick at all despite having washed in soapy water!! I have used army painter base spray on undercoats. Any ideas?? (Sorry posted this on the other feed as well to try and get some ideas! Thanks)

Are you using dishwashing detergent (like Dawn), not "soap"? I did notice that the surfaces of the freebies do seem to be quite slick, but have not tried to paint one.

He's pregnant again (well, not him, but you get the point, no budget).

On the home front, I got invoiced for a Nepharya, which means my missing squad will soon make its way to my drawer of untouched minis.

My wave 3 stuff (my whole order excluding the freebies) turned up yesterday. The heroines continued to impress, with only Parker having any noticeable problems (mold slip). Drussila looks nice with a very 50's futuristic jet girl vibe.

They did mess up part of my order sending me an Iron Empire troops set rather than one of my Jail Birds sets so I am swapping emails with Sandrine trying to get that rectified. With luck they have decent customer service similar to FW's and will get the right kit winging its way to me.

Now I have them though they are probably heading straight to a drawer for now as I dont know what I want to do with them anymore. Though I'll be keeping Foxy out as a medium term paint project as the mini is a stand out from the ones I got for coolness.

Ha - Have you had any luck getting replacements sorted?

I was asked to provide photos so sent them a picture of the packing slip with their handwritten notations on it, the box with little plastic bags in it, and a photo of the wrong squad. Not sure how else I could demonstrate I hadn't gotten what I'd ordered.

Geez, no. I simply said so, asked to add an extra purchase at regular price, and three weeks later, they were done.

Sandrine came through after I followed up my photo email and they have issued a new squad to me so that should turn up at some point.

And that will be me done for this Kickstarter. While the minis are undoubtedly gorgeous in the main, and I'm happy I got freebies with my base Lieutenant pledge level, I wouldn't do it again and am happy I had no funds to throw at the newest one - even if there are some stunning looking concepts in there.

Concepts. No guarantee that they will faithfully translate. Mostly, yes. I hope they aren't that scratchy, though.

I kept meaning to post this and forgetting. Was I the only person who thought the tank commander freebies were going to come in two pieces, so they could be used as regular infantry OR tank commanders? I thought I remember that being what was assured to us when people complained about only getting half a model and the RH team deciding to give everyone the other half, but maybe I'm wrong.

So far, they seem like they'd be super damn awkward to slice up to use them for their intended purpose, which is what I actually WANTED them for.

No, there were to many voices crying out for them to be normal models so they were 'worth' something so they grew legs and turned into normal models

there was never (that I saw anyway) any idea of doing them as torso + legs versions once that had happened

Absolutely. Actually, it should have been released last night, but some if the images were not cooperating. We'll go in on Monday to finish it. And it will feature a bonus unlock, too...

I really hope they've got a cast of one of the bikes/trikes/mechs to show as I'm interested to see how their spincaster copes with the bigger stuff (and of course I'm waiting for some of them)

I emailed about an update and got a rather snitty response and a link to the what's in each wave page that hasn't been updated in a dog's age. I really, honestly, cannot stand some of their ideas about customer service. They're outstanding to me a fair amount worth of product, I think I can ask for an update when I damn well please, and they can go back to giving me lip when our accounts are balanced.

They sent me nothing I've asked for my pledge to be shifted into the newer ks but I got told no it would be sent out soon, that was three months ago.

I've got nothing, I'm prepared to wait for the newer stuff but apparently it isn't good enough??

Something is very odd about that.

We're long overdue an update at this point with regards to the completion of this ordeal, especially with them makes such strides with their second one all of the sudden, or would that be a selfish thing to ask for?

I could send an email but I half expect to be told to shush again.

I am wondering, since they are taking their sweet time if I could emal them and ask them to change my order from metal heroines to their resin.

Dr. van X is available in resin, so are 4 other minis.

That's it. Nothing on the mechs, the art, the bikes, the weregirls. Thats the first update since mid april.
