So, there's a Warriors list at my FLGS that's been really putting up the numbers, and I'm kind of at a loss for how to engage or deal with it. I presently play Lizardmen and Chaos Dwarves.

The list itself is as follows

Nurgle Daemon Prince, with the standard unhittable/killable loadout, Lore of Death. He flies in your face on the second turn and drops purple sun onto the unit he fights.

Hero on a demonic mount, third eye of tzeentch-build

Two Chimeras, who smash into things to support combat.

Two blocks of four bloodcrushers

Several units of hounds

Four chariots of nurgle.

The list is just so aggressive and in-your-face, and once certain units engage you in combat, you just end up falling over. The Prince is an obvious problem in terms of being able to effectively engage him.

Lots of poisoned shooting attacks could hurt it. Metal is going to do well, as would shadow / life - boost your toughness and they find it much harder to kill.
Get fast cav to stop them getting charges.

I mean, beyond running a bajillion Skinks, I can't think of a counter to this list.

Shadow is always an option, but I fear its a crutch; when the spells don't go off, I find myself doing little that turn.

Metal doesn't pop the Prince; he has the dragonbane gem. Its the prince that causes the most problems, simply by virtue of being almost impossible to kill. He hits a unit and the unit just starts losing combat. And if the unit doesn't, he just throws a Purple Sun into it.

For that, there is a thrwad in YMDC or Tactics called Killing the Prince of Nurgle. It has a specific LM strategy, may be double Slaan bawed.

Against Chimeras, always look for a chance at panic.
Leadership 5 runs pretty often. If either chimera gets outside of the generals bubble, look for panic options.
A cannon shot at a nurgle chariot might get a double by panicking a nearby chimera.

I would focus on magic defense against the prince, and try and gun for the chimeras. With the Chimeras out of the way, that chaos army is going to struggle against static combat res.

Lizardmen eh?!

Take lore of death on your Slann, Bane Head, and Feed back scroll. Your Death magic will do double wounds on his DP, and if he tosses 6 dice you pop scroll. chances are, if he's smart he'll realize your packing that scroll and won't force his magic.

Chimera also ld 5. Spirit leech if not in generals IP will smite them.

Spirit leech bombing is even more scary than it used to be cuz of you can use the inspiring presence LD from your General for it .___.

I learnt the hard way against Tomb kings that had 3 lvl 1's with spirit leech.. using the inspiring presence from a LD10 General.

I use a lvl 2 death and hierotitan, but with my lvl 2 in same unit as my general, it didn't change that role, but new hierotitan tactics.

I see it the other way. A single spirit leech used to kill a terrorgiest. Now I can use my LD10 to protect from spirit leech. You can't snipe out low Ld targets, all you need to be safe is keep in the generals bubble.

What points level?
If 2000 double slann with any of the following: double death, life and shadow,
a lot of skinks, amazing what a ton of poison shots can do.

They say you never appreciate what you have until it is gone. I fear that isn't true for your mind.

I've played this list 4-5 times now with my Lizardmen and my worst result has been a small win.

I use either a double Slann list (Death/Metal) or Party Slann (Metal).

My Slann + Skink Priests use Becalming, Scroll + Cube to make sure he never gets a spell he actually needs off.

Scar Vets hunt down Chimeras or Chariots.

Skinks clog the board and double flee so he can't move effectively and keep the DP from doing his thang.

Mr. Slann and my Saurus block or a skirmish bunker find a building which becomes the Alamo.

Every magic phase you cast Final Trans/Spirit Leech on the Daemon Prince.

1. He dispels it, leaving him without enough dice to stop you Searing Doom/Houndsing 1-2 units off the board a turn.

2. He doesn't and you have a 1/6 chance (or better w/SL) of dropping him.

Repeat this 6 times, use the building rules to make sure your Slann never die and either you'll drop the DP and then win or all that will be left at the end is a DP and the broken remnants of your skinks (but remannts which hold all of their points never theless).
