I just started collecting Fantasy because a friend convinced me to collect. But that friend also is creed manifested into a human form. he collects ork & goblins and woodelfs and he just never loses he beats every one who comes his way skaven,lizard men,empire, dwarfs he Has never vsed WOC and when i asked them how they manage to lose to wood elfs they just don't understand how they lost. There not like scrubs they beat other people etc. just never this Creed incarnate guy. It burns my soul that he has never been beaten and i must end him. my question is what do i do vs Pure creed manfested into human form.

i dunno what he be bringing he brings diff shiz every time so i have no clue. i just started, so still buying. his tactical creed will destroy us all if i am not carefull. atm i got a daemon prince and a hero on a jugganaut that im going to put in a squad of cav with fire attacks to deal with monster and tought units. main core be knights using some forsaken look fun as hell and a vortex beast cuz that looks fun 2.

If he's as good as you say he is, taking things because they look fun will not yield a crushing victory for you unless you're equally tactically minded.

Yeah, sadly, the words "fun" and "good" can't often be used to describe the same army and if this tyrannical "Haydn" is beating people left right and centre with Wood Elves, then he's clearly bringing the best list possible, and is obviously very good.

The best thing you can do is to bring an equally competitive list, which will give you an advantage straight away. Head over to the Army Lists section and post your list. You should get some feedback there and some information on how to improve your list.

Of course, if you're new to the game, you can't expect to just win games off the bat. WHFB is a tactical game, and you need practice and you need to get to know your army. Victories should come with time.

Finally, check he's not cheating. I would like to not bother suggesting this, but since you're new to the game, you can't be sure that everything he's doing is legal just by observing. There are people like that. If you're unsure, ask him what he's doing and/or ask him to show you rulebook/army book proof.

Hellcannons are very nice against blocks from either of those armies, potentially even against msu elves.

If Hayden is beating everyone he plays against with Wood Elves whilst not cheating, playing 2400 points and against people who know how to play...

Please get him a DakkaDakka log on so he can teach the rest of us how to play Warhammer, because he's the best player I've ever heard of.

To be fair, it's not really hard to win vs. hobby starters with any army. Especially Wood Elves are excellent vs. beginners as you can abuse their lack of knowledge to a good extent and thus not make WE's weaknesses a apparent as they are to experienced players.

That's my point. Some people simply abuse the lack of knowledge their opponent has. My advice: play other people to get into the hobby, then come back and roflstomp his butt...which really isn't too hard

The lack of information is aggravating...if you need tactical advice, you are going to have to supply more information. This is Warhammer, not GI Joe.

Well this is awkward...

In response to the opening post my foolish exaggerating friend made, I am an adult,I'm sadly not 'creed manifested into a human form' Just your average war-gamer.
Although It is true that I have not lost in this edition I have not played vs all the armies or a lot of different opponents. I have played vs Lizardmen,Dwarfs,Bretonnia and Skaven, these are my regular opponents. I also played vs High Elves,Dark Elves and vampire counts earlier in the edition.

To those who say I must be cheating because I win with Wood Elves is absurd,the internet blows armies current situations way out of proportion. People like my friend Kyle here will believe what he reads on the internet that wood elves are utter crap and you will never lose to them or win with them or that High elves are OP just because of BoTWD, half of the people that say these things probably haven't even played with or against wood elves or the respective army involved in the 'power' talk,they just follow what others say like sheep. Yes some armies do have more options for min maxing the best possible all comers/tournament list,but you can still beat them with the right tactics or luck on your side

BUT that is a bit irrelevant when you play for fun before anything else,as my friends and I tend to use armies that are say 60% that a tournament goer would use and 40% 'non-competitive'. We do have the odd min max games and the odd full on madness(Fun) lists which make for great games!

It's 'Haydn' for a start but I do not cheat we have multiple copies of the warhammer rulebook,have read each others army books and use the FAQ/errata's which GW provide.My friends I regularly play with have been playing just as long as I have so there is no 'noob bashing' if you like, involved. As I said before I first and foremost play for fun and cheating is no fun for anyone!,winning is just a bonus

I'll give you an example of a game I played this weekend with my Wood Elves vs Skaven 2,400points.

Wood Elves army list :
Highborn on forest dragon
Noble on eagle
BSB noble
Spellsinger
3 units of GG
2 units of Dryads
2 Treemen

Skaven Army List:
Grey seer+screaming bell + horde of clanrats
Warlock x2
BSB
Plague Priest
unit of plague monks
units of slaves
HPA
2X warp lightening cannon
Doomwheel
unit of gutter runners.

I won by 200 odd victory points,but it was a close game,In the end he had the horde of clanrats with the bell and the HPA left,i had all but one gg unit with bsb,treeman and my noble eagle(New model, so first time i fielded it and it took a cannon shot to the face first turn, typical! haha) . But at the end his HPA was locked in combat with my Dragon both on one wound so if he killed it he would have won! So he came close! But no cigar yet

Most importantly though... What does "Creed manifested in human form" actually mean?

I'm thinking it has something to do with Scott Stapp?

Creed is kind of the best strategist there is in 40K (living one at least at the current timeline)
The guy is able to infiltrate 1d3 Titans (or anything else)
