The first stretch goal appears to be a completely different and unrelated game which is rather odd.

Let me preface this by saying that this is not a trolling question-

But why are people so excited for this game? It's been #1 in The Hotness on Board Game Geek for awhile. There are a couple of interesting mechanics, but it doesn't feel all that different from a lot of survival horror games out there - and frankly, I'm sorely disappointed with the quality of the sculpts for the game pieces.

I honestly want to know why so many have been looking forward to this.

Also not trolling but the first thing I thought when I saw the page was "So it's just Zombicide?" .. what's the difference between this and Zombicide or Zpocalypse?

The main differences that I can see on a cursory look are that there is basically one scenario - defeat the mad scientist and recover the antidote to the zombie plague. And there are security cameras to avoid/deal with, and a few other foes besides just zombies. But yes, it does kind of feel like one of the Zombicide scenarios.

I'm disappointed to see two of the bosses, one of the monsters and two heroes removed from the base game (mini sculpts have been floating around of them for a year or so). I presume they will reappear as stretch goals later.

I am disappointed in the quality of the sculpts, the grey minis they released photos of looked much better.

Looks okay I guess, miniatures look a little bland to me, and not big on the art of the character cards. Got excited at first but probably take a pass on this.

Also the game is 80 but I need to spend 110 for the 'free' stretch goals? Is that right? I only skimmed so I maybe wrong.

The extra money also gets you these additional items -

I think one of the main issues with the minis is that the paint job covers a lot of the detail previously shown on the unpainted pieces. I think they would have been better off showing those.

that's often the pattern of the big box game KS projects (several CMON projects, Mantics Dreadball etc)

vanilla game box $X

game box + a few KS exclusives + ablilty to get stretch goals $X = $20 to $50

Premium one also gets a lot of free stretch goals while the basic one has to pay for them- extra figures, guardian snakes, extra piles of zombie sculpts... almost makes me wonder why they bother with a basic version when the premium one is really what they're trying to sell us.
IF you got an EB it isn't much of a difference, but the base level for premium is 110. 30 bucks difference and you get a crapload more stuff.

Kind of crazy that they're throwing in extra games at so many levels. Never heard of free bonus games as a stretch. Free bonus game? As in a boxed, packaged game? Crazy.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!
