what would be the absolute best list to just either face roll or troll your opponent

i think it would be e lylith and her ranged beasts shooting flaming and poisoned pieplates everywhere, while everyone is stealthed

It's hard to say what the most trollzy list would be, as all the "trollzy" things you can do have counters, so the level of trollzyness depends on what your opponent has.

I mean, Menoth can be quite trollzy in the right circumstances:

"I want to shoot that jack"
"Nope, Passage hymn."
"Ok then, I'll shoot at those Zealots"
Nope, Greater destiny, can only be hurt by spells and feats
"Ok then, I'll cast a spell at.."
"Spellward".
Right, with no other options, I'll just charge your bloody jacks then!
Ok then, but it's enlivened and will walk away after the first attack"
"Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu--"

But everything does have counters, and an experienced player will know them.

Right now I'd say eLich. He does not have very many bad match ups. Arguably the best caster in the game atm.

also yes menoth are quite trollzy, but it depends on the casters, not all of them have negate stuff, in fact i say the person with the most negeate is pkreoss with his NO SPELLS and NO UPKEEPS shinangins and then going knock out feet of doom

took a look at him, at most he is a hard to kill spell slinger that can bring back models and use them to charge, he can do some silly assassin runs but other then that he does not seem that silly, unless i am missing somthing

One of the keys to eAsphyxious is how good Cryx infantry is. He can move a long distance, bring back a bunch of infantry, and then charge with those infantry. The overall threat range is huge, and anything that wave of infantry get into contact with is /gone/. It's incredibly potent for attrition and for assassination. On top of that he has a killer spell-list that's good for both attrition and board-control. Incredible package overall.

I'm not really an expert on this game, but the Cryss faction looks like it might do some pretty hilarious focus conservation since every time you spend a focus you can transfer that focus to another model.

"I charge my entire army forwards...one focus [trollface]"

I guess i'm just confused as to how the shots happened at all, I've only run shredder spam a few times but I always
turn 1: run up legionaires, ethags punks down a few to make clouds, shredders hide in/behind clouds
turn 2: charge/run to engage everything, feat, eat some faces

boosted pow10's /do/ kill shredders, but if you ended your turn deployed properly he should have taken some pretty horrific casualties as he should have been eating a few bounces for every 1 you took

Eh, double Stormwall is almost rediculously easy to shut down with a single two point merc and half decent shooting support. It's definitely strong, but has some glaring weaknesses if you can no longer screen Haley, who has about as much armor as a wet t-shirt contest.

Gorman.

Run a low defense model of your own between the stormwalls, apply ranged buffs to Gorman, then proceed to blind 38 points of the enemy army by hitting your own guy in the back.

You can also blind one of them effortlessly even if you miss the attack roll since the base is so large the deviation cannot drift off it.

Taryn. One of her shots allow you to ignore a model for purposes of LOS. She has two guns. Thus, neither colossal will block LOS, allowing you to shoot Haley at leisure.

I had to look her up because I never seen her used before

She only works for Cygnar and Menoth, and since Haley is Cygnar that feels pointless to mention so basically only Menoth

With that, combo it with Drop and Pop and I can see some pretty trolly wins. Tho then you think about it and that only really helps Menoth and none of the other armies in the game

even funnier is using the lord of the feast to "give the bird" to a collossal, and then phase in behind it, potentially in melee range of your caster. if hes loaded up on heart tokens, its even funnier.

If the Cygnar player can't kill Gormen before he's in range for black oil he's not a very competent player.

The Pods can get rid of him pretty easy as their attack doesn't roll to hit. Then there is covering fire.

Sure, if you can get Gormen in range its nice. And pEyriss can also shut down a colossal. but its hardly a one sided fight.

Why discount Cygnar? It's not like mirror matches never occur, and given the sheer number of ranged options that Cygnar has available she would probably work best as an enabler in Cygar. On top of that, she's available to three out of six Warmachine factions at the moment, and the three that can't take her (Ret, Cryx, and Khador) already have plenty of ways to ignore the Stormwalls (MHSF, revenants, and arcing fire).

The only problem with Taryn being in a Cygnar army is that the tactic suggested doesn't work. Shadowfire (the name of the ability) only works for friendly faction models. So only other mercenary units can take advantage of it.
