I'd argue the exact opposite: the digital products are only available to people who also buy an ipad and may or may not be written by the same people who write the paper versions (like non-english translations), so the "official" version of the rules is the printed copy plus any relevant
FAQs/errata.
The digital version's are updated to include changes in wording as a result of an errata. This one is kind of a strange though, as Puppet Master has never been errata'd (errataed? my Latin conjugation skills are almost non-existent) but has been the subject of a few
FAQs. From the text in Natfka's post, it seems like the wording in the app has been changed to reflect some of the subject matter of the
FAQ, which is quite strange. I would agree with Peregrine though,we should default to what's in the rulebook, with any relevant
FAQ's/errata to solve this dilemma. I personally feel that a "Shooting attack" does not necessarily refer to the shots from a single weapon. The phrase is purposefully ambiguous, as, depending on what kind of model is the target of the power, it's "Shooting attack" may involve more than one weapon. A monstrous creatures with more than one ranged weapon for example.
Sure there is one for puppet master in regards to pivoting a walker making a shooting attack and now that walkers rear armour is facing your army.7
Q: Does the Puppet Master power allow the controlling psyker to
‘pivot’ an enemy Walker in order to select a target not currentlyin its
fire arc? (p423)
A: Yes, but the model is assumed to return to its original
facing when itreverts back to the owning player’s control.
Q: When are effects from non-direct-damage dealing witchfire
psychic powers (such as Puppet Master) applied if the casting model
is part of a unit that is firing in the same Shooting phase? (p15)
A: The firing player gets to choose the orderin which the
psychic power and shooting attacks are resolved.
Q: Is an enemy model affected by the Puppet Master psychic power
treated as a friendly model for the purposes of resolving its shooting
attacks (so, for example, cannot target an enemy unit with a blast
weapon in a manner that would also hit itself)? (p423)
A: Yes.
