Hi everyone. I'm new to both this site and warhammer. But I'm playing Dark angels and I have access to 4 extra tactical squads an extra biker squad and the whole Dark angels figures in the Starter set Dark vengence. What should I get next? And what tactics do I use with these units?

Given what you have access to, I would say you are pretty much limited to a standard gunline greenwing list. I would probably recommend grabbing some drop pods, rhinos, or razorbacks to give you some vehicle support and transport for your units, particularly if you are going to be running some bikes in there. You could also take a look at some predators or devastators to add a lot more ranged firepower to your bolter gunline if that's how you plan to go.
To expand your army, it really comes down to what you want your army to do / how you want them to play. Do you want to shoot, deep strike, or rush with bikes? Whatever focus you choose will dictate what direction to go.

I would say a command squad with standard of devastation as you seem to have a lot of bolt guns there and that would really help.
Also an Aegis defense line improves any army in my opinion.

You've obviously got a good base for your army with 4 tac squads. You need to figure out your play style as that will dictate what you buy next. Personally I like to sit back, shoot, and observe my enemy for a couple of rounds. I like to stay in cover and play defense, then move forward when its best for me. But being that I play against the same group of guys, I have to throw em a curve ball every once in awhile. So I bought a bunch of pods, rhinos, and razorbacks for an immediate push forward and in your face type of play. This style doesn't usually suit me but its needed every once in awhile for me. In that case some elites and heavy support fit nicely and help your scoring units survive. Again, play some low point games at first and figure out your play style...then go from there.

You are set for a gunline. I would get an ADL and 2 devastator boxes and a vet box or cmd squad box.
Librarian
Cmd squad with Banner of fortitude or devastation.
1Dev squad with lascannons on the Icarus with a Librarian casting prescience. It can take out any flier or tank.
1Dev with missile launchers.
As many tacticals with HW of your choice.
Perhaps Azriel for the Ld bonus and making DW and RW troops.
Rhinos or Razorbacks would be good eventually but they are pricey.

I know it's almost a standard response, but never buy a Rhino kit. Always go for any other tank and pop the top part off if you want to use it as a Rhino. I bought like 4-5 Rhinos for my Ultras in 5th ed and still regret it (even though I sold the army on Ebay forever ago and bought Tau that got stolen with the proceeds). Anyhow, Dark Vengeance and bikers and TACs are a solid base. One thing to consider would be more termies so you have options not provided (such as the CML, one of the best upgrades to use with the Split Fire special rule, IMO). But, those can be expensive too. I got some spare bitz from another Dark Angels player in my area and stuck them on Dark Vengeance termies. Check Ebay for CML bitz. Aside from that, one thing that might be nice for a gunline is a Whirlwind or two. 65 points, 48" range, large blast, strength 5, no line of sight needed. That will make them want to come at you, even if they're Tau or some other camping army. Cheap, effective, and they can always become Rhinos (or anything else using that chassis in a friendly game). Then we'll see who's camping. With that many TAC squads, I would definitely make as many Missile Launchers as possible if they are still unclipped. Cheapest Dev Squad in the world considering you likely won't be running all 5 TAC squads, and Missile Launchers are pretty solid choices, I think. If they're already modeled for you, you can always take 5 aside and find some way to mark that they're your Dev Squad. Drop Pods are really fun with Dark Angels, and so are a lot of the other stuff like LR and the variations, Speeders, etc. I would focus on the basics first and then expand as you see fit. If you're sick of tanks getting blown up all the time, grab a Land Raider. If you feel like your TAC squads die too quickly, get some terminators. I like trial and error for model purchases, it makes your lists more personalized to you (but some things are just unusable, so check with Dakka first. Namely, assault squads for Dark Angels) Remember to keep your eye on Ebay.

I would make sure to look on ebay, I have Dark Vengeance and then saw 5 DW guys for $13. I got 2 and bought beliel and now I have a DW army. I'm not just saying go with DW but look on ebay, and the separate Dark Vengence squads are very cheap on ebay. Regardless of which models you play, check ebay first.

Armor and dakka. Range is a big help (hence my comment about ML earlier), considering Angels have a ton of very inexpensive 48" guns. Whirlwinds are my favorite (in pairs of 2) against camping armies like Tau and horde armies like Orks. I run 2 at no-upgrades cost, and even if I don't hit where I want it usually scatters onto something important. Considering Tau and Orks don't get very good armor saves (and Tau have T3) it actually does a decent amount of damage. I made a unit of Tau run off the table in one shot from a Whirlwind and got first blood for 65pts. Also, Whirlwinds can neg a cover save.

Their ability to negate the cover is great, as you can give Tau a taste of their own medicine. It's str 4 ap5 ignores cover, so even if they are in area terrain like a forest, you ignore it all, which is great for making Tau take saves. But it is always best to use the str 5 apt option against anything not inside area terrain, because it is ordnance and will take cover saves from the center blast, not the direction of the shot. So, all those guys behind the aegis just got hit from behind it and are taking wounds on a 2 with no saves allowed. Makes me smile And if you have the spare points, you may be able to put a storm bolter on the Whirlwinds to give them one more weapon, reducing that Weapon Destroyed result from taking the big gun down to 1/3 instead of 1/2. Just something to consider.

CSM change too much what list is he feilding, is he god themed or does he use many cultists.
on subject of orks use wirlwinds and pound from afar with boltguns, retool one tactical squad to act as a command squad and then use standard of devastation, that toy led to my pathalogical fear of flags, when ever i see on even in guarrd lists where they dont do alot i battlecannon it with defilers.
on a side note the dark angels captain makes a good count as azrael as he looks like him, carries the same wargear and he wears the helm..IMO

I agree with that last bit. In all honesty, the Dark Vengeance captain looks even better than the Azrael model and has the exact same loadout etc. Sword, winged helmet, combi-plasma (assumed) and bolt pistol. If you used him as Azrael I doubt anyone would have a problem with it. Plus he doesn't need the stupid little familiar to follow him around and clutter up the squad.
