I am curious on the general popularity of each regiment.

The Restrictions I Put On My Tallarn Lists:
- Missile Launchers are the only HW teams allowed in Infantry Squads.
- All units able to take the FW Desert Raider special rule, must take it in lists of 750 points or more.
- 1 unit of 10 Rough Riders is required for lists of 1000 points or more.
- 2 units of Mukaali Rough Riders are required for lists of 1000 points or more.
- No vehicles besides Chimera Armoured Transports and Hydra Flak Tank Batteries are allowed.
- Al'Rahem is required in lists of 1000 points or more.

Sort-of Elysians, but I use custom lore for them.

Yeah, if it's a homebrewed just vote "other" or the closest applicable regiment.

(I personally play Tallarn btw.)

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

Cadian. Out of the 'WH40K' selection I think they look the best.

Standard colours. A 'swampy'-looking green for their armour, and a dark brown for their fatigues. Lasguns are black with silver furniture.

Why is the most published regiment shoved into "other"?

Tanith First and Only for me... with some Pardus Armour.

Even Pardus, we know of its 8th, 12th, and 34th regiments.

Because, yeah Rambo is BA. And unlike other regiments, they foster classic macho values like leadership by example, a blatant disregard for danger, and hand-to-hand combat.

I don't have a lot, but Valhallans are my poison. I've put a bunch of money down on the Raging Heroes kickstarter with the intent to use them as 'counts-as' IG. I figure they would make good Valhallans. (I'm just going to model the Jailbirds on desert bases. )

Oh my god thank you for showing me this, lol.

I'm going to buy some for my Tallarn when they launch.

I shall first purchase Cruz, that heavy gunner, paint her in Tallarn colors with black skin, and use her as Gunnery Sergeant Harker.

I've got an airborne force that's technically Inquisitorial Stormtroopers leftover from the 3e Daemonhunters book that serve as Allies to my Grey Knights, but in my fluff explanation they're Harakoni Warhawks, which are hilariously obscure (they aren't mentioned in the fluff except for about a paragraph buried in the 3e Imperial Guard Codex, and the employees at my local Games Workshop store have never heard of them).

Common man, the special character that operates alone behind enemy lines from the guard codex is called Marbo.

Personally I run a home-brewed army. I think playing guard encourages you to make up your own paint schemes and history.

Plus, it allows me to collect multiple model types and just say that they're all from the same planet. I have a ton of cadians, catachans and some valhallans. Sad to see that the metal valhallans are gone from the GW website. Hopefully they bring them back as fine cast at some point. With my minis addiction I was going to start steel legion and mordians eventually.
