Watching them play this live 2 days after the most painful breakup in my life was helpful. Made a friend in the crowd as we sang together, arms clapped on each others shoulder. It was truly a bad good night.
Also, NSFW due to F-bombs and S-bombs being dropped during the song.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

If you're that concerned about it you could always get a prenuptial agreement.

That and find someone that you can stand living with for a long time/actually try to keep the marriage and romance alive. Crap tons of people (read: men) get married and then completely take their spouse for granted. Guaranteed road to divorce there.
Went out with mates, got drunk and moved on with my life.
I've never really been into the introspective navel gazing thing though. Nor of listening to songs and doing the whole "this song - sob - reminds me so much of her, man!"
I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

Pretty much this. Best solution to a break up? Get a new girlfriend.

Probably what led to the breakup in the first place!
This wasn't a breakup, but waaay back when I was a freshman in high school, I became seriously infatuated with a girl in one of my classes, and spent the entire weekend listening to "Forever Young" (Alphaville, not Rod Stewart.) By Monday, I was completely over her. She was still very nice, and VERY pretty, mind you, but the spell was broken...or the illness had run its course...
[edit] Of course, there's always this heartfelt classic: One More Minute
