Anyone seen any decent mega nob conversions that aren't too hard to replicate and not super expensive, like kitbashing terminators with nob boxes or something like that. I would like to make some, but the models they have are tiny and don't say meganob to me. Are they any ork rumors on the horizon for remakes of these? Meganobz and especially the pathetic gorkamorka era buggies desperately need updating.

There were some rumors about Mega Nobz and Cyborks being in a new plastic kit.

Also rumors of new buggies and such.

I used old mechwarrior pieces for mine and built up from there.
Spoiler:
Not a perfect solution, but a cheap one. (And I'm sure someone less lazy than I am could make them look better.)

I'm sure you know about the kromlech ones, but if you're playing at a GW though you're kinda screwed. Luciusletroll built some great ones from plasticard and AOBR nobs, keeping it within conversion % rules. Lot of work though. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/469636.page

I notice my posts seem to bring threads to a screeching halt. Considering the content of most threads on dakka, you're welcome.

There not bad for what they are. I just scratch built one myself, looks pretty decent. I am going to make some molds of it and make 5 of em. All the parts are separate, so I can adjust them to look different.

Some new Ork sculpts would be great seeing as how the meganobs, are from the '99 timeframe and the buggies and wartraks are several years older than that. The Boyz are from '99 as well except for the special weapons/upgrade sprue.

I feel the boyz have aged well, however there is no excuse for gw to try and pass off those gorkamorka buggies from freaking 87 for 30 bucks. They are garbage.

I've done some converted out of old Terminators, they're not painted yet but you can see what I mean at my blog:

Thanks for the link. I have actually started making my own, making molds so I only have to have enough parts for one, then leaving the weapons and a few pieces like the head blank to fill in with other parts to give them each a distinct look.

*bursts though room with axe* HEEEAAARRRS JHONNY!!!

Buy a Nobz box then add plasticard exo-suits around them, I've seen this a few times on Dakka and it looks really cool plus you have a maximum number of Meganobz for one squad

Plasticard is your friend, hope this helps
