Is there a specific ruling on the firing ark of the weapon (big shoots, etc) that comes with an ork Trukk? I've been playing it as a front 45 degree arc; however, I am not certain if the gun counts as being a turrent for 360 degrees or not.

I run mine as having an 180 degree front arc.

No idea what the 'official' arc is, but most folk are ok with this in my experience.

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

no idea

Check p72, 2nd pic, hull mounted weapon for ye olde ones.
New ones don't quite qualify for pintle mount, imo.

I'd say it has about a 270° arc, with whatever rear quarter the truck is in being the blind spot.

Gorkatrukk = Hull Mount = 45 Degree

New Trukk = Turret = As far as it can swivel

It is a rotating bucket he is in.

While you may wish it to spin 360, it would be improbable for it to do so.

I've always played mine with 180.

For open topped vehicles with an orky pintle mount, I'd certainly allow more than a 45° arc. It depends on what the mount looks like. Given orks can fire these things as assault weapons while on foot anyway, the guy would probably just tear it off the mount if he wanted to shoot stuff behind him

This is incorrect as all turrets are assumed to be able to turn 360 per the rulebook.

I thought it stated it can move 360 unless it physically cannot?

While you could Spin the mounting 360 ... i was under the impression that the model had lots of dakka strapped to the back that would block LOS from the gun. Personally I think the must be a fairly large blind spot behind a truck.

Its an ORKy vehicle it is very dependant on where exactly the gun emplacement is modled if it is as the kit ..Suggests.. then 180 front arc for new vehicle 90 front arc for olde style trukk..

If it is on a pintle mount like the olde style ork warbuggies then 360..

If it is actually in a turret above the other dakka and add ons then yes 360..remember WYSIWYG..and no two ork vehicles need be exactly the same ..

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I have one trukk that the ark is left side only and another that is right side only for the gun emplacement ..no foward..

Automatically Appended Next Post:
these are obvious when looking at the model ..

Even if a turret can rotate 360* the weapon still can not draw Line of Sight through its own hull.
So the back wall of the Trukk cabin effectively limits the fire arc.
