I look at the Retribution one, and I think--

"The 75mm gun is firing. The 37mm gun is firing, but is traversed round the wrong way. The Browning is jammed. I am saying "Driver, advance." and the driver, who can't hear me, is reversing. And as I look over the top of the turret and see twelve enemy tanks fifty yards away, someone hands me a cheese sandwich."

As far to the east you can get without being in Canada.

The Kickstarter tab on the PP website has changed. Says "Coming Soon".

Dang, beat me to it!

For those who were worried, there don't seem to be any early bird perks.

Just to be sure I'm not seeing things, the only limited levels are really pricey ($350+), right?

Yeah, that's what I'm seeing.

...And going back to work, since apparently I don't need to jump on anything

Oof, those pledge levels are going to take a bit of reading to figure out. Plenty of time though.

That's quite the goal too!

As noted, no EB right now (and no beast of a computer at home either ) means... holding pattern for me!

That my not be quite right. This is from the PP website's Kickstarter tab:

There are two ways you can acquire the limited-edition sculpts and collector’s coins:
Pledge at one of the six tiers that includes miniatures. You’ll specify which miniatures you want when you receive our survey at the completion of the Kickstarter campaign. OR ADD ON one or more limited-edition sculpts and collector’s coins to your pledge.

Only one of each character may be received by each backer.

Note: The limited-edition sculpts are exclusive poses of these new characters created especially for the backers of WARMACHINE: Tactics. Once this Kickstarter project is over, we will never offer them again, and we will destroy the molds after the figures have been produced.

Strangely enough if you pledged for the 25$ level and added on all the models it would end up being less than the 205$ pledge.

550,000... wow... Wonder how many miniatures, expensions, new factions etc they could do with that kind of money.

Yeah, limited levels are for many dollars.

I'm leaning towards the $40 pledge level right now, with a $20 add on of Sturgis, but I could potentially be persuaded to $145.

With that being said....that funding goal is awfully high.....

Right, but all those pledges have unlimited availability. It's just Warchest and above that have a limited number of slots available.

Edit: $550,000 doesn't sound so crazy for a full video game. Heck, I don't even know if many AAA titles are put out with that kind of budget anymore. Not to say that you can't make a great game for a LOT less, but dem video games 'spensive.

JudgeShamgar- I believe Buzzsaw meant early bird / limited on kickstarter, not the reward itself... which is only $350 and above.

Oh well ... Being interested mostly in the Khador one, the PP of $25 kinda kills it for me ... A damn shame

Currently going for the $205 level, might change that lower later..

Hoping a few later stretch goals add to it.

Wow. I'm not really in the know with Kickstarter, but a ship date of August 2014 seems long to me. Is that normal? I guess it makes sense if the game is still in the early stages.

$205 to get all 7 of the minis seems kind of steep though. I may just narrow it down to one and go with the cheaper option, or do $145 for 4 of them.

$350 for the warchest. Wowzers!

One of them filthy casuals...

A year to develop a game is not long.. it's actually the opposite.
25$ for shipping a 20$ man-sized miniature is unfortunately .. pretty expensive :(

Okay, I'm feeling pretty dumb right now, but how does one go about adding on additional sculpts to their pledge?

If you want bothversions of Sturgis, he actually works out to be the cheapest: $20 for the dual-use miniature, and $10 to add the parts to make a Cygnar version and a Cryx verison. So $30 for two.

It seems like they're saying that extra sculpts can be added on to your pledge for $20 each, but I'm not seeing how to actually do that yet.

Just add another 20$ on your pledge and wait until the campagne is over to tell PP what exactly you want

Yes the $350 level will give you LE stuff but if you check out this link PP makes it sound like any model will be LE with the molds destroyed after the KS is done. I'm not trying to argue just understand what you get for pledging at what level.

http://www.warmachinetactics.com/#!rewards/c1m0f

Reread the text on each backer level with a sculpt. They all say LE on them.

True.. but I guess they've only made it into the super early stage of development. They probably have some antimations, some models etc. but lack any kind of sounds, video, music, story line, campagne, net-code etc.

Their funding goal is only... "only"... $50,000 above what I was expecting it to be. Video games are 'spensive.

That said, it looks like you can get a digital copy of the game for $20, which is pretty sweet. And if I'm reading it right, for $40 you get the game + a limited edition journeyman sculpt of your choice.

..I've been watching the counter tick upwards, and they're almost at $100K after only about 30 minutes of being live. Not bad, Privateer Press. Not bad at all.

You can get all 7 for $160 with the game, or $141 without the game. You just miss out on a lot of the digital stuff.
