Have ya'll ever seen this? How cool is that. Being a kid who grew up with a military footlocker full of Lego myself, I was floored by this. I wonder if anyone has ever made some rules for a "miniatures" game that these could be usefull for... You could build all your terrain out of legos.... What ya'll think!

You could use them with a ruleset that isn't tied to any particular miniatures range, such as Tomorrow's War, etc...

Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

There was a rules set, maybe ~17 years ago or so that was Lego Wars. We used to play it in high school every now and then. It was space legos vs space pirates. That said, it needed to be played with a pinch of salt. It was deisgned to be as silly/stupid as possible in some respects.

If you go to the Brick Games section under Resources on the Brik Ward site I linked earlier they have links to other rule sets and it actually mentions Lego Wars.

Those weapons in the first post are pretty much all from Si-Dan Toys. Their primary distributor goes by the name of Minifig.cat. Here's his site.

Check out his stuff. I can vouch for the quality of the accessories. They're all very high quality. The selection of accessories is just great, too. He also sells via Bricklink as well if his site isn't to your liking and he has a Flickr account that shows off a lot of the accessories in use and previews tend to show up there as well.

Another 3rd party accessory maker I can recommend is Brick Warriors.

Not as extensive of a selection, but where else are you going to get the parts to make Lego Geth? Plus, they throw in a free accessory with every order (or, at leas they did the last time I ordered)

I would also say that Brick Forge makes good stuff, but I won't link to their site due to them having put up an image that's kind of in bad taste. Plus they haven't updated in a LONG time.

On a more important note, how well do those NVG scale with 40k?

There is a word for a wargamer with an empty paint bench.

Dead.

Too big. I'd post a pic, but none of my Lego guys are at my apartment.

Don't you mean in Lego corners, remember they don't have circles!

Anyway this is interesting stuff, first I know of it. Not a lego collector though so really doesn't grab me that much.

I'm actually working on a tabletop historical game using plastic brick figures and such for playing pieces. Still getting battle rules, tech tree, resources and Wonders straight. This is definitely a site I'll be making purchases from for modern era kit, currently focusing on classical to renaissance eras

Somewhere in the steamy jungles of the south...

Lego wargaming is awesome! I do a lot of Medieval Brikwars combat, and by the end of a game, there's so much plastic blood and fire everywhere it makes the maniac in me happy. My games typically have ~100 figures on a 4x4 board, along with 3-4 cottages, barns, and inns. Throw in some baseplates full of trees, some ancient ruins, a castle or two, some raised baseplates, and even some really weird and wacky stuff like fire portals and monster spawn points and you have the makings of a great afternoon of mindless Lego violence!

Also, here's a link to Brickforge. They make some awesome "not-Halo" weapons and armor > http://www.brickforge.com I didn't see any images in that could be construed as being done in bad taste, so I have no idea what Barzam is talking about.
