What would I need to roll with a S:10 weapon to Instakill a Trygon. I know it's a pretty stupid question to ask and you probably want to respond to "Do it yourself noob!!!". But all you need to do is leave a number which is the roll required to Instakill the Trygon with the S:10 weapon. Thanks to any who respond.

This isn't really a tactics question.

The answer to your question, however, is: There is no number that you can roll on a D6 that will instakill a T6 model with a S10 weapon.

Thanks anyway, I appreciate it.

I'm pretty sure you can't instakill a Trygon as its T6?

Meaning no weapon in the game can have S=2xT

Of course, other weapons with the Instant Death rule, such as activated force weapons or a Nurgle Balesword can do so.

In the hopes of moving this closer to a tactics question:

If you have access to Biomancy you could try to enfeeble it thereby instant killing it on a 2+ with your str 10 weapon.

The ruins of the Palace of Thorns

You could hit it with some powers that lower leadership, then attack it with a power that targets leadership instead of toughness. Bit of a stretch though! and only really works for Eldar...

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

Curb stomping in the Eye of Terror!

I can happen as long as the Trygon isn't Iron Arm'ed...

Dark Angels Ravenwing Knights (and command squad) can take a grenade launcher that can reduce your toughness by -1. All it needs for that to occur is to hit the Trygon.

Then, it's T5... bring on the Vindi or other Str 10 weapon.

I was thinking about how to deal with random high T Mcs and came up with some fun idea,s

Dark strider attached to a squad of fire warriors with an attached vanilla chapter master, bada bing, your T6 mc is now T5 vs a st 10 ap 1 orbital bombardment that can use marker lights.

Or similarly, Dark strider on a Icarus with dark angels allies on a bike that has a librarian and a raven wing grenade launcher with rad grenades. get lucky with an enfeeble and you can drop t7 monster down to T4 for instagib.

fun times
