Hey Everyone,

So I just picked up a xv8 team box with the 3 models plus 6 gun drones....or so I thought.

I just opened the box and low and behold I can only find 3 gun drones in the box!!!!
It is clearly supposed to have 6 drones and it even has all the bases but I am missing three sprues I am just baffled because the box is only so big I couldnt have missed it.

Has this happened to anyone with this set or any other set where models are missing?

Should I just bring it back to the store (not a gw) and ask for a box with some drones in it?

Take it back /send it back. GW is usually pretty good about this.

Yep. You may even get extra bits.

GW may be a douche when it comes to prices but they dont screw their customers over aside from the initial bill.

I had a box of ork boyz come with no bases. For some reason they sent me TWENTY BASES instead of the 10 i should have had. im like HOLY CRAP !! lol

Should I contact games workshop directly or just bring it back to the local games store? I just want to put my suits together haha

Its my experience with GW too, they might be arses when it comes to their initial impressions of their sales methods and so on, but they are not like EA games who feth you over after you bought something.

One of the consistent praises i hear of GW is great replacing things.

Yes, in most cases this is so.

I called about some defective glue that I bought before I knew better...the guy asked if there were any per minis that I got that were defective. I told him that my Castellan Crowe came with a broken banner (true). And they gave me a second one free with no questions asked.

It's really nice that they do that for their customers so I hope people don't begin to abuse it

Did they ask you to provide proof? Such as a pic of the bill or pic of the box contents with the current bills? Because be that as it may, without proof any joe might just buy some stuff, make a claim it's damaged and get free stuff.

Yeah and then "justify" it by saying "GW charge too much in first place"

They've never asked me for proof. Just for the batch number off the back of the package.

Well thats interesting to hear. I emailed Games workshop because the phone isn't open on the weekend but I am going to bring it back to my flgs and see what they can do for me.

I just want to get these guys put together but now I have to wait haha

I got a hammerhead kit with two skyray sprues but missing the hammerhead sprue. I emailed them what I was missing and gave them all my mailing information and phone number. This was on a Saturday. I got a call on Monday saying my order had shipped. I got my sprue on Thursday.

Did you order it off their website or just from a local store?

I didnt give them my number or mailing address woops haha

I got it from the store and mentioned that I got it from a local game store. Which I think it was out of stock for them at the time and due to the minor issue it wasn't really warranted a full refund or trade.

I actually didn't notice until I got the body of the Hammerhead put together and I started looking for some pieces I was missing. Took me a while to notice.

My LR door arrived broken in the box once.

Not really. When I bought Space Hulk, my Librarians axe was broken and they sent me a whole new sprue... of Stealers with the big baddie. I notified them that they sent me the wrong sprue and they quickly sent me another full Librarian sprue.
The same thing happened with my Epic Armaggedon Chaos army. They sent me the wrong Slanaash Titans three times before I got the right ones.
In both examples they told me in a very friendly way that their mistakes were my gain and I didn't have to send anything back.
Say what you will about GW, in my case anyway, they will go out of their way and then some to correct customer issues.

Well I thought I would give you guys an update.

I called them today after they emailed me back and they asked what was missing and they set up an account for me and said they were sending me a brand new full box of XV8 crisis battlesuit team.

I must say I am really impressed at how great Games Workshops customer service is.
The guy on the phone was awesome and really friendly and have to give GW a two thumbs up for their service here.

Just thought I would give you guys an update and say Games Workshop has some awesome customer service like others have said
