Automatically Appended Next Post: Very good games by the way, the Footdar are mighty indeed!
He's going to. Janthkin and his bugs are going to being paying Reece's footdar a visit very soon.
BTW, Janthkin won the Anime Expo as well as our local RTT recently. He's on fire as well!

The DA player really psyked himself out of the game. Why shoot at the Wraithknight? What would 24 BS 5 assault cannon shots do to the three units of Dire Avengers standing in front of them? Get rid of the Dire Avengers and there are a lot fewer rending shots to shoot the terminators.
Two rounds of 24 assault cannon shots from Contemptors should have neutered the Dire Avengers. Next target needed to be the War Walkers. All lascannons should have went on them. Turn 2 the termies take out the hellions and I think the DA player is in good shape.
Whomever plays Reece next, please ignore the Wraithknight.

Actually, Janthkin is bringing his Daemons. We had some requests to see his tournament winning army against my Eldar, and I am happy to oblige.
Nids is actually a tough match for me. They are also a mid to close range army and have more bodies. Every time it has been a blood bath. I'd be happy to try it, though!
@hyv3mynd
I ran out of death tokens before my turn so I couldn't refresh it! Haha, you role per phase, so you roll 6 times before you get to refresh. It was terrible!
@Darth
Yeah, the Wraithknight draws fire like a boss! I hope my next challenger DOESN'T ignore it! hahaha, that is one of my keys to victory
That wraithknight has been ridiculously good at drawing fire. Have you been playing mind games with your opponents to convince them he will capture all objectives on the board or something?
Your poor helions have been getting wiped every game lately. They always buy you something worthwhile though so I am starting to see why they are good.
I still haven't figured out how deathmission made sense. I am still hoping they FAQ it to mean the controlling player's phases or something.

2) 5 Seekers seems...interesting. Much like 5 Genestealers, I expect they are too few to have real impact, but they're both cheaper & faster than 5 'stealers. Might be worth considering as a secondary threat/contesting unit, but not as the only fast-movers in the list, I think.

Yup, people shoot the big guy a lot. Rarely kills him, though. The thing is it is such a tough choice. If you don't kill him I am going to use it to take out key units. If you do shoot him, the rest of the army goes unscathed. Not a good choice to have to make.
And yeah, my last few opponents have all had ignores cover weapons so it makes it tough for the hellions. However, they always do their job and usually 1-2 of them live to go grab an objective, etc. I think they are a wonderful utility unit.
@Janthkin
1.) Thanks for the correction.
2.) Yeah, that unit seemed out of place to me, too. Also, deep striking it was a bad call, IMO. Seekers should come in units of 10+, IMO.
Those were definitely FUN batreps to watch! I like the description of howling banshees. Both the PMS squad, and as kids rolling down a hill. That's about how useful they ever were for me, at least for the last Eldar dex. They either got wiped marching across the board, or I tried transporting them and they just got shot to gak upon disembarking. I always found taking a squad of fire dragons or even dire avengers were to be more useful, I haven't gotten to use them with the new dex though. Your list seems to be doing pretty good even without the wave serpents lol Are you going to close down the shop when you play janthkin, or can anyone watch?

Nice Battlereports and its good to see the Eldar do well, altough i feel that both armies are far from optimal, the ideas are not wrong although.
Reece how would your armylist look like if you included Serpents, suppose your list will look quite different.
You have ruled this galaxy for ten thousand years
Yet have little of account to show for your efforts
Order. Unity. Obedience.
We taught the galaxy these things
And we shall do so again.

Thanks guys! Glad you enjoyed them. And yes, stupid Death Mission! Hahaha, well, I did die, so I guess the mission was a success!
@Darkcloud
Come on in and check it out! Anyone is welcome to come.
@Valek
My Eldar list is just about fine tuned and done, now. I am zeroing in on the final version of the list. So far I am 19-1-1 with Eldar against a wide variety of tournament lists and players so I am feeling pretty confident. Basically the list you are seeing in those reports is what I have been running.
Serpents in the list would be run with 10 Guardians the serpents would be twin Scatter, Shuriken cannon and that's it. My biggest question now is if I want to run 1 or 2. I am on the fence about it and keep swinging back and forth.
Yeah, the +1 cover is pretty fantastic. I may have to do that, but I do like the offensive output of the cannon. I find that my Serpent is often not shot at all, honestly. Folks have their hands full with the rest of the army.
