Hive Fleets seen so far are just tiny tendril which is part of a bigger tendril which itself is part of a even bigger tendril which is than part of the Bio Mass. Next wave would have 25 hive fleets entering the galaxy at the same time with each fleet being bigger than Leviathan. Than the wave after that would be even bigger. Each giant fleet would come with hundreds of hive planets which is 100x the size of terra. so its going to be 200-500 hive planets per fleet. Than finally the bio mass arrives a galactic sized bio being thing with a giant maw. This thing is actually the hive mind itself. If the milky war survives this than the space marine would learn that the hive mind/tyranids are actually running away from something.

Organic things need to feed to remain alive, even hibernation won't stave off hunger forever. I always wonder how many fleets simply die out before they find anything worth eating. Also what's to say the entirety of their species is headed for the Milky Way? There's a lot of other Galaxies.

A galactic sized beast? The sheer gravitational mass of this creature would destroy galaxies just by being close.

it'd be inyeresting if that final battle malarky the eldar forsee was actually chaos v order v nids. it might be pretty close what with the sheer number of nids, the chaos gods actually helping their minions and the plot armour of the reappearing imperial primarchs/ressurected emperor

Once more down to the beach, dear friends, once more,
To drown our sorrows with our English beer!
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility;
But when the blast of alcohol blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger:
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood.

The problem is you think that as the fleets arrive the organisms will just happen to get bigger. They won't.

As fleets get bigger, the amount of hive ships, and thus, the amount of ground forces, increases. The ships and other organisms themselves don't get bigger with the fleet.

You also have a very big misconception on the nature of the hive mind. Stop thinking Zerg - that was an overmind, one intelligence leading the race. The Tyranids are controlled by the hive mind, which is a gestalt intelligence sitting in the warp made up of every living Tyranid. It's physical prescence is the Tyranid race.

Didn't Tigerius communicate with it though?

He listened to it, he didn't communicate with it. He's so far the only psyker who has been able to hear the Hive Mind and not go insane or wind up with a blown up head. The fact that it's still trillions upon trillions upon trillions of voices overlapping each other in an utterly alien language means him understanding or even communicating with it is fairly slim.

The end times are false, created as an excuse for the Eldar and Imperium so the end of their civilisations won't seem as bad if it is all destined to end anyway. A belief that this destruction of civilisation is pre-destined in a big special prophecy and we are part of it makes people like the Imperium, Chaos and Eldar feel like they are more significant than they really are. Also the belief in it being pre-destined makes the consequences of mistakes seem less severe if it was going to all end anyway.

The only end times will be when the Tyranids devour everybody and the gods they worship.

As a tyranids player I think it's done and there won't be more tendrils. What's here is here and it'll start narrowing so better get to harvesting that bio mass Lou.
