I was going through the BRB and while reading about vehicles and assaults I saw that if a vehicle moved they are considered to have WS 1 for that assault. Reading on, I saw that vehicles, as in non-walkers, can win the assault if they can inflict more wounds then the other party. What I can't seem to find however is the Strength the vehicle will hit at and at what initiative. For anyone know or can point me to the right direction to determine this? I've thought that for vehicles they would do a single Strength 4, AP -, Initiative 1 to represent a that a mass of metal is slamming into you as they, fluff wise, turn to face you.

You are both rational and emotional. You value creation and discovery, and feel strongly about what I create. At best, you're innovative and intuitive. At worst, you're scattered and unpredictable.

There are items of vehicle wargear that inflict hits in assault, for instance Tau Flechette Dischargers. Also some non-vehicle walkers have other ways of dealing damage, such as the Hammer of Wrath "impact" hits from a Chariot.

Non-Vehicle walkers do not, by default have ways to inflict damage in an assault and thus win combat, but some special rules give them that ability, and so the general rules cover what happens then.

I suspect that you mean 'non-walker vehicles'...

I suspect you're right. Non-Vehicle Walkers do not have ways to inflict damage either though, by dint of not existing.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, though I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed that vehicles can't do something in assault. Ah, well there is still Tank Shocking if I really need to do something, lol

no idea

The ws is there for being hit purposes, rather than hitting.

What would you suggest they do, doughnuts???!

You can't deny how "great" that would be if it happened.

Certainly not, though it has had one odd side-effect.

All I know is that sometimes vehicles are WS 1 and other times they're WS 2. I play Tau, so I am the only army this matters to, but for some reason it came up once in a really weird game where I apparently assaulted a vehicle for some reason and I've never forgotten it sense.

Like watching other people play video games (badly) while blathering about nothing in particular? Check out my Youtube channel: joemamaUSA!

Normal Vehicles are WS0 or WS1, not WS1 or WS2. Excpet for killakans, which as walkers have a WS, which is 2.
