KH I actually like a lot. KH I for me was spectacular, KH II was so-so but it had truly epic scenes.

Trying to decipher this. Do you mean there is no prompt to tell you where things are in the game (no sparkles on objects you can interact with, etc)?

I'm going to have to fight this now. When Fallout first came out, it was in a day when the game fallout 3 couldn't have existed. Not just because fallout 2 hadn't even come out yet mind you, but because graphics and general computers weren't that advanced. That truly isn't a fair comparison. Especially since the two first fallout's were designed for a completely different gaming generation, and fallout 3 was born in a generation, which clearly wouldn't accept a game like fallout's 1 and 2.

Oh yes, FFVIII is my favorite Final Fantasy so far, followed closely by VI or IV ( I can't decide between those 2) but that damn SHIP

Those were awesome also, but my favorite is Tactics Advanced 2...I put over 200 hours into that game...

I was pleasantly surprised by Tactics Advance 2. I loved Tactics and did not like Tactics Advance very much. The second one was a pretty nice combination of the thing I DID like about Advance with the level of strategy I was accustomed to in Tactics.

Ok, here we go. I'm actually making a real list:

1. Minecraft (it's not even a game, it's a creative time waster)
2. Spore (ok game, compared to hype it was horrible)
3. World of Warcraft (why do people even play this?)
4. Super Smash brothers (it's a fun casual game. The fact that tournaments of this game exist proves some people take it way too seriously)
5. Day Z (yes I know it's a mod. I blame the community on this one, not the game. Bloody human psychology...)

Honorable mention: whatever indy steam greenlight game is popular this week.

I absolutely hate games that aren't even close to what the devs hype it to be. Like the original Fable. It was an ok game but nothing like they said it was going to be.

Fable: The Lost Chapters was fantastic on the other hand. It was the original Fable plus another 33% more content, and was the PC version. They did release it as the Platinum Hits version for the xbox.

I actually dont care that this made your list. Im confused on your reasons.

The games cover many of the major historical battles including, Carentan, St. Lo, Omaha, Cherbourg, Operation False Pocket, Caen, Op. Goodwood, Op. Market Garden, Stalingrad, Moscow, Berlin, That Polish city I forgot the name of, Leningrad.

In fact, I find the only battle it was missing was Kursk (seriously, how the feth was that NOT in the game?)

as for the speaking English, personal preference, I hate it when it is the other way around( they speak their actual language, I dont speak German or Russian so not understanding my men pisses me off)


There are plenty of reasons why those games would make the list so you dont need to defend yourself, I just found those 2 reasons to be strange_)

1: Counter-Strike. (Generic CoD clone number 639! But it's "the hardcore" and anyone who doesn't like it is a "nooby console scrub"! Also it has atrocious gameplay, terrible balance, and one of the worst communities this side of League of Legends!)
2: I Wanna Be The Guy (It has literally no interesting features other than being stupidly difficult)
3: DOTA 2/LoL (Basically a WoW-alike MOBA with RTS controls in both cases. I'm listing them both because LoL is basically a clone of DOTA 2, and they're both awful)
4: Super Mario Bros 3 (Compared to, say, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64 or any of the new Mario games, this one is just...bad)
5: The original Legend of Zelda for the NES (looks hideously ugly, way too difficult, only about 4 music tracks, confusing, just plain boring...Out of the entire Zelda franchise, it and the criminally bad Zelda 2 are the only ones that aren't excellent)

As much as I don't like both of them today, I have to say I have the utmost respect for the people responsible for Counter-Strike. This game with I don't know how many fans all started as a humble mod for Half-Life. Someone just had this awesome idea about a team of Terrorists vs Counter-Terrorists for an online game and got together with some friends and started coding it. After some Betas, Valve itself looked at it and said "Say, that is looking mighty good, want some help?" and lo', Valve teamed up and the CS fever truly began full steam ahead.

Same thing for whoever had the idea for the "custom map" in Warcraft 3, the Defense of the Ancients. Another person who had a vision and BAM, world-wide phenomena.

P.S: And CoD 1 and 2 are absolutely awesome

Halflife 3 cannot live up to what people want.

I'm not dismissing the choice of games, but there are some really weird explanations in this post.

People explaining why they do not like games that are good are what make this thread good.

I find it odd to say a game is overrated if you've never played it (though there is no requirement to do as such, just my thoughts).

I'm having trouble creating this list, so in no particular order:
1. The early Assassins Creeds. Got reeeeaaal repetetive for me (heard they have gotten better, may have to take a look again).
2. Candy Crush
3. Most Final Fantasy games (but not KH series, odd I know).
4. The new Mortal Kombat (it was cool, but meh).
5. WoW ( I guess cause I've been entrenched in the Diablo camp for so long).
