HQ:

- With 10x Gauss Immortals = 320

Troops:
10x Warrior with Ghost Ark = 245
10x Warrior with Ghost Ark = 245
10x Warrior with Cryptek (Destruction) = 165
10x Warrior with Cryptek (Destruction) = 165

Elites:
5x Deathmarks with Cryptek (Destruction) = 130
1x Triarch Stalker = 150

Heavy Support:
2x Annihilation Barges = 180
1x Monolith = 200

Transport:
2x Night Scythes (for Warriors with Crypteks) = 200

Everything = 2000 exactly

I'm new so I'm not positive but this seems like an effective list to me. Any thoughts?

Couple of things:

Not sure that paying the points for Phaeron is worth it. You don't really need relentless as you shouldn't be assaulting with Immortals anyway (I2 and all).

The Deathmarks need a DespairTek as an AP2 Flamer wounding on 2+ is awesome. They will also need a transport mechanism, because they can't deepstrike with a Cryptek attached (unless it has a veil). Take one of the night scythes from the warriors and make them walk and give it to the deathmarks.

I would also not put Destructeks in a Scythe, particularly with a stalker you want them on the table, shooting! Take the second scythe and put the overlord's unit in it.

A lot of people are going to say the the monolith isn't worth it. I say, play it if you want. Particularly with walking warriors, could be worthwhile..

So would it make more sense to take the warscythe and phaeron off of the overlord and use those points for a despair cryptek with veil?

and then since they dont need a transport could i take 2 immortals and 1 warrior from each cryptek group off in place of a doom scythe? Then use the one night scythe for the overlord with immortals?

Not the warscythe, but I don't find Phaeron is worth it.

I find that the Doom scythe is a bit hit or miss, but certainly give it a shot. Another problem is that you'll lose an Anni Barge (because your HS slots are full) - not sure that is a good swap.

Do you have these models already?

I have most of them, and I thought you get double force orgs in 2000+, nonetheless i might keep the war scythe and take off MMS from the Overlord, then take the 2 Night scythes and use them on the groups of Warriors, then use the monolith to tele the immortals/Overlord, this would give every unit at least some way to transport.

I think you need another hq for double FOC. Plan sounds fine, but suggest you make sure destructeks start on table. In fact all warriors should be on table take advantage of stalker before it dies.

Perhaps try dropping the Triarch Stalker and upgrading the Night Scythes to Doom Scythes. Then you have nasty weapons with redundancy, and you can still use your monolith to move the warriors around the table.

Drop the Phareon but keep the warscythe on the overlord. If he's charging anything it should be vehicles (any that don't survive all that gauss) it's there mainly for insurance against any charges.

As MarkCron pointed out you need the deathmarks to have a despairtek. They are too nasty and will provide a big distraction that will allow other nasty elements (the Doom Scythes) to go unchecked.

I play Fire Hawks (SM) and Necrons.

Yeah i'll probably try it this way first, and yeah I'm keeping the warscythe and probably gonna drop the MMS on the overlord since it isn't as vital and makes the points work better.

Or maybe I should keep the stalker and go with night scythes so that i don't need to make room for another hq since i'm not sure how to fit another hq in, like what to replace for it. I could maybe go with the doom scythes and replace one ghost ark with another Overlord. then have 20 warriors go with the overlord and walk next to the ghost ark. I really don't know. Any thoughts?

Keep the stalker. Doom scythes are overrated imho. I'd rather have Anni Barges. This is because moderately competent players will force Doom Scythes away from good stuff and as the death ray is not on a turret, it is comparatively easy to reduce the effectiveness of a Doom scythe. It gets worse if the Doom Scythe doesn't come in until T3 or worse, because that really reduces the value you get from the 175 points.

Walking warriors next to a GA is a perfectly valid and sound strategy, particularly when you have a stalker to twin link the shots.

The stalker twin linking is why you want to have as much firepower on the table on T1 as you can get, particularly destructeks which have 36" range.

Use one Night Scythe for the deathmarks and one for the immortal unit. walk the warriors next to the GA to regenerate them. They put out massive amounts of shots, which with twin linking is scary.
