I love this idea. I would also love to see you forget to take Commissars and have someone run 2 or 3 Hemlock Wraithfighters against it. XD

Company Command, and 5 minimum platoons with maxed out conscripts, with no upgrades at all is 1700.
That's 250 conscripts, 100 guardsmen, 25 men in platoon command.

Then start adding commissars...

Too bad the upgrades they could apply would not be cumulative... it would be scary.

I'm almost tempted not to add Commissars and just add Guardsmen to that. Can you imagine 500 models all failing Ld tests and running around everywhere in fear?

THIS. I have 20 grots, I just need 160 more. I love the idea of fielding maxed out units of things that get 30 models each.

Also, The Parasite with 54 Rippers.

Not sure if the tactics themselves was funny but:

Blood Angels taking on Tyranids in tournament.

Rolled objectives: BA had to "capture" opponent's HQ.
Much "oh no's" all around, a tooled up Hive Tyrant is scary.

The guy chewed down a couple points of the HT in shooting and took his leader and beat it in assault.

Drove off with it in a land raider and allowed the rest of the army to tie everything up and get chewed on.He made good his escape.

The dice were JUST right and I would have sworn up and down there was no way he could have done it.

It was funny since the bunch of us were sitting there with our mouths hanging open (some cheering as well) and the BA player was like "What? they are marines, this is what they do"

Eldar Super-Council.

Iyanden 2k:

5 Spiritseers, 2 Farseers, 10 Warlocks.

I don't even know how many points that is, but it is 17 psykers in one super unit.

I'll have to check the BRB again, you might be able to take a 2nd unit of 10 warlocks for a 27-psyker unit.

I have always wanted to use Old Zogwort in some list, because IMO his curse has got to be one of the (if not even 'the') most hilarious psychic power in the game Warhammer 40k.

Actually.... the old DA's Mind Worm gets pretty close at being funny.

A Farsight bomb with a ally Eldar star. ( you can attach warlocks on bikes with a HQ from eldar right? )

I dunno it will cost about 2k points for the both of them and about 150 points worth of troops

To add on to this:
2 Farseers, 5 Spiritseers, 10 Warlocks forming almost a circle around a Culexus Assassin.

Edit: You can take a second unit of Warlocks, but it would be a separate unit, so 27 psykers forming a protective circle around the Culexus.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Oh, Happyjew, that is deliciously harsh. Thankyou for convincing me of my next purchase for my Iyanden list.

To take that Culexus Assassin, you have to have an inquisitor, and a strike squad (or GKT).
That's 2 more psykers in range.

So for the low, low cost, of what, 1350 points?, you can get 31 S5 AP1 shots at BS8 and 12" range; while putting 30 odd psykers in harms way?

How about as many dakkajets as you can take and a couple of warpheadz so that you can almost guarantee a waaagh every turn? Dakkajets with double the shooting output every turn, sounds good to me.

For a mere handful of extra points, take a Psyker Henchman and 2 Warriors. Henchmen don't take up a slot.
