So back when dark reapers were viable, I was running them In a ruin, with a small upper flore, almost only enough for my dudes to fit. I was facing nid player, who bout the special gene stealers. They somehow assulte done dark reapers, and even though like one model could fit up their, he attacked with the whole unit. He was a competitive guy, and dint want to upset him, so I just let him do it. Is this legal at all?

Note this was a while ago, and it just recently came up again, and was wondering....l

if you're within 2" of a model in combat, you get to attack.

As long as he wasn't attacking with models that weren't within 2" of that one model, he was doing it right.

Defining 2" how? Like bae to base, or head to base or wht

Head to base. Or you can do what most people say and all floors count as two inches.

Two inches has never been a standard distance between floors. You might have that as a local convention, but its certainly not done by 'most' players.

You also don't measure toe to head for assaulting, just for coherency in ruins.

However, the rules for assaulting in ruins do allow you, where there is no physical room for the attackers, to place them as close as possible on the next available floor, and count them as being in base contact.
