All marines can take a can of red bull (or 41st millennium equivalent) as a wargear option. When used it increases the models initiative by 1 for a game turn and they gain the jump infantry special rule for a game turn. One use only.

- There will be a new unit: Vanilla Marines. Space Marines will introduce some new units to take full advantage of the newly released "Sea of Destruction" Battle Mat, a 6' x 4' blue vinyl playing surface retailing for only $129.99! GW wants to emphasize that combat belongs on and under water as well as in the skies, so most Space Marine units will have swimming or scuba upgrades. Drown in misery, xenos scum!

Assault squads have the 'heavy anchor' upgrade, which when successfully attached to an enemy unit drags it down to a watery grave!

A new aquatic combat vehicle called the Ultra Newt will carry 2 twin-linked Strength 9 AP1 Lance Harpoons and has the ability to regenerate damage.

An underwater sled called the Blowfish moves like a bike but stings like a bee, causing instant death poisoning to any model on a 2+.

Rumors of the Land Shark cannot be confirmed at this time.

Land Raider Poseidon
- Land Raider optimised for aquatic missions
- Amphibious special rules
- No Multimelta options, and doesn't have Lascannon due to them being less effective in water
- Main weapons are TL Assault Cannon with 'Harpoon Cannons' on sponsons.
- Harpoon Cannon sort of behaves like Scorpion's spear from Mortal Kombat against Monstrous Creatures and Vehicles, if it wounds or penetrates the armour. The harpoons don't have any effect on infantry beyond the damage / wounding effect of being a ranged weapon.
- Pioneered by the Space Sharks, who have reverted to their Rogue Trader name.

Astartes Fishmen
- To go with the new Land Raider, these are aquatic specialised Marines
- Two types, light and heavy. The light ones are like Scouts, while the heavy ones are in power armour
- Jet packs, don't take dangerous terrain if landing in water terrain
- Can't take Melta, Flamer, Plasma or Las weapons but the heavy weapons guy can mount an Assault Cannon
- All have Harpoon pistols, these have the Harpoon effect, but in reverse - they move the unit firing rather than the target.

Hope you've pre-ordered your Sea of Destruction Battle Mat too! Rumor is they'll eventually have a green one called "Swamp of Despair" and an orange one called "Land of Lava"...collect them all!

All space marine codexes will be made obsolete, and all space marine players will be required to by the new Space Marines Codex, which will be twice as large as the rulebook, but with half as much fluff or rules. The majority of the book will be a collection of every rogue trader era artwork made and falsified battle reports, coupled with random pictures of Matt Ward dressed as an ultramarine.

All non-ultramarine characters will have their rules replaced with the ultramarine characters rules, plus one chapter specific rule.

All space marine squads start at 4 points per model, but they have to buy all of their weapons, armor and grenades, which determine which FOC slot they take up. All models except two and the sergeant will have to have the same gear. The sergeant will have a close combat weapon and pistol regardless of what you wanted him to have. Space marines can now be squads of up to thirty marines.

The space marines will receive two new flyers. One will have four twin linked las cannons with armor 12, while another will have a S6 AP3 Assault 2 flame template with the torrent special rule and a 5+ invulnerable save, also armor 12.

For a slight 40% price increase, thunderfire siege cannons will be made in plastic. Additionally, there will be a new artillery piece, the Spacemarine Cannon, which unlike normal artillery is T8. It will feature multiple firing modes, none of which will be useful at killing other space marines.

Players will not choose which chapter their marines are from. Instead, they will roll for it on 3d6 after choosing warlord traits, with 10 being ultramarines, and 19 being Black Templars. Players will need to have a different space marine army ready for each potential roll.

In addition to gaining thunderwolf cavalry from the Space Wolf codex, space marines will be able to take horses into combat. The horses will wear power armor.

Additionally, one new chapter will be revealed. The Ultra-ultramarines. They live on a planet called Ultra-Ultramar, which is an ocean world where the ocean happens to be ultramarine. They will be superior to all other chapters in every way, and feature their own unique space marine models that people will have to buy if they want to use them.

I'd be all for this, marine armour is nothing in Ultramarines, they die to a couple of bolter shots (though one or two of them were taken about headshots because they weren't wearing the helmets, which is still a stupid idea)

Space Marines will become 16 feet tall. (Previously 12 feet)
This will mean:
Female space marines are 18 feet.
Grey knights are 20 feet.
Female Grey Knights are 22 feet.
Chaos Grey Knights are 24 feet.
Female Chaos Grey Knights are 26 feet.
