so ive recently surfin on craigslist and they were selling 3 valkyrie and some death korps of kreig stuff for $250 but i also like csm but not sure whether worls eaters or black legion what would you guys suggest

The handy thing about the Chaos Codex is that you can field Imperial Guardsmen as Chaos Cultists. I've also seen a converted Imperial Guard Flyer that was being used as a Heldrake.

In other words, if you want them;

1.Buy them.
2.Convert them.
3.Use them as converted units of the Chaos Codex.


As for World Eaters vs. Black Legion? I'm certainly a bit biased, but I'd go with World Eaters. Bear in mind that every member of the World Eaters Legion is supposed to a Berzerker...

What you could do instead, is paint them as Black Legion, but paint all of your Berzerkers as members of the World Eaters legion. That way you can have your cake and eat it too. You could take any unit you want for your Black Legion, then when you get sick of them, you could just field your Berzerkers by themselves for a different flavour.

Buy both and use your DKoG as IG allies

As for which army based on fluff black legion leaves a lot of options open while WE are more closed.

But you don't need to pay attention to any of that (I don't) so it basically comes to which color you are least likely to get sick of painting first, black or red

If you put them in the freezer, the cold will make anything that's been super-glued easier to pull apart.

I did this with my two Rhino's and a Predator when I decided that I wanted to paint the interior as well.

You might want to put them in a bag to stop them getting wet though.

Well you can go down the route of having CSM as allies for now, that way you can get the nice deal on the DKoK and have some Chaos guys until you build up your chaos force and then mix it up.

ok i guess ur right but if dkok get too complicated ill stick with csm
