Hey guys, I was thinking on taking all my DV chosen models and converting em into an all plasma squad. I'm definitely gonna give em MoN, but I was wondering how many models should I take in the unit. Is a five man squad enough, or should I go for more? I have 10 DV models that I can convert but I'm not sure if that is gonna get too expensive. Please gimme your thoughts.

For Plasma and Nurgle, I like a fluffy 7 man squad with six plasma.

I take a unit of 5 with 5x Flamers and a Power Weapon on the Champion. Since my list includes Abaddon, they're Troops choices, and can camp on an objective. No-one likes 5D3 Overwatch hits.

I've converted the regular bolter holding guys into meltas and plasma.

Can show you pictures if you'd like.

I'd recommend running 4x special weapons. And put a few extr body to weather the shooting(depending the points you have got left)

For cheap and threathening chosen go for 5 flamers. No one likes 5 flamers in their face.

But no army has problems shooting down 5 marines.

Doesn't look like it would be too difficult, any advice on where to find a bunch of special weapons without buying a boatload of CSM and pillaging those sprues?

It takes some care with the cutting. But it is a quite simple conversion. My cousin did them for me. Pretty straight forward.

I usually go to ebay and get from the bitz store like bitz galaxy. There are a few new stores coming up as well. Prices are acceptable. About 2 aud for 1 plasma gun?

I am from melbourne so I only pay 2 dollars for postage regardless of how many items I buy(they are small and light). I wouldn't know how much would it cost to post to NZ. Sorry mate.

This gives you two bullet catchers after the first shot.

Thanks for all the ideas guys! I suppose the question is now whether to go all flamers or all plasma. Also, do I lose anything other than a HS slot by calling em Havocs? This seems like a good way to drop a lot of points off em

You are only allowed to have 1 heavy weapon per 5 man/10man(can't remember) squad of chosen.

other than the HS vs Elite spot, which is the biggest issue.

Havocs have 1 attack, Chosen have 3 attack.
Havocs can only take 4 special weapons, chosen can take 5 specials
Havocs have base LD 8, chosen have LD 9
Havocs are not troops with abby, chosen are.
