Remember, that was "Late August-September" followed by "we really meant late September", so I'd cross off any chance of 6 weeks, and go with 8+ weeks. At best.

Which factions did you end up getting?

I went "all in" on Teknes and Goritsi and I'll probably get Hadross later on - if I end up liking the game and the overall miniature quality, of course!

All the factions. When I figured out you could get all the stuff for all the factions for like $420 my decision was made. Especially considering what it would cost retail just based on the stuff up for pre-order so far. Which is $900 bucks just for the basic $200 pledge, extra faction unit for each faction, and the big bad. That doesn't even count the 3 special characters that came with the base set, the extra specialist models, or the cost of the three leader models that were a $15 add-on in the kickstarter. It's a sweet, sweet deal

I also grabbed extras of some of the big guys because I love most of the models and the idea of playing with a bunch seemed fun

Between this coming in, Armada, and DZC finally going plastic I'm done with new games for a bit. Gonna have to much to paint. Super looking forward to my Shael Han and Nasir for this though. The other factions look fun and I'll paint them but mostly for demo's/getting people into the game.

I'd started being more sensible by the time this one started so

I got all the Goritsi (except the Ravenscar blokes which I just didn't like at all),

plus a the basic pledge for Nasier as a backup force (which if I ever actually play will probably suit me best even if I don't feel the connection I do to the Goritsi)

Shae Han iron lotus girls, and the warhawk/winterchild set (mainly for the bonus deathbloom girl) to paint

and Teknes Union infantry as Pigmen rock

Yeah, Az, I think you may be In better shape than you expect because they're gonna ship from China to all the Pan-Asian areas.

I got the $200 set. I asked them to unlock my pledge, as I may add a second one, and a couple of dragons. Not necessarily planing to play WoK, I might, of course, but my main reason is to as use them as figures for Kings of War. The problem with me was that each faction has some figures I really like as well as some that I feel look terrible, so there's no "hook" to get me all-in on any given one. The one with the Wolfen would be closest to liking all of.

That would be lovely, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. That way leads to way too much disappointment and being pissed off. Better to assume Feb and then be happy if it turns up earlier, you see.

I honestly welcome delays at this point, I already have Deadzone wave 2 in the mail and I only put about 20% of my Relic Knights together so far.

Hi

I am very much interested in this game, but exaclty how is the quality of the game support provided by coolminiornot in general?

I don't want start a game who can die in 2 o 3 years, without support and update .

OT: sorry for my english

No need to apologize as I'm sure your English is better than my Italian!

As for your question, well, it is a bit of an unknown!

CMON certainly seems to be around 'for the long haul' - for example Zombicide has seen 2 followups already!

I'm with you in hoping that Wrath of Kings has a long life.

The game DARK AGES has received consistent support for some years now, as have others.

I'm cautiously optimistic here - though others will most likely be able to offer more informed opinions here...

Also, welcome to Dakka Dakka!

I'd agree they look to be in the game for the long haul,

and there should be at least a years worth of extra releases produced during the KS so there will be a steady stream of stuff to keep the interest of new retail buyers (I doubt they'll release everything all at once)

I'm certain CMON really wants to get a game going with better mass appeal than Dark Age (which they have supported pretty well despite it never catching on in a big way) and they seem to think Wrath of Kings is going to be it

Yeah, the gameplay on this looks smooth. I'm hoping it gets constant support. At least I'm in a spot once I get 2 factions painted up of being able to demo and provide models for gaming to get it started. I know our local area is hungering for a fantasy-esque game so hopefully this is the one.

I just don't get why Dark Age has not grown in popularity. Fun game. I assume the theme is a turn off?

Well damn. I think I forgot to buy in for the KD Twilight Knight crossover model. Pledge manager is closed for good? I don't suppose anyone bought extra?

My spare is already committed to a good home

(and there will be fewer floating around than you'd think as we were limited to one per faction you bought the main starter for)

If you contact CMON they might be able to open the PM

but when I did so for the Shae Han dragon shown recently I was told if I added anything it would be 'at my own risk' which I take to mean if they didn't have it to spare I'd have wasted my money...

(fine for the Dragon which would be headed to retail so should have a large surplus, but pretty risky for the TK, but if you're prepared to gamble worth a try)

That's weird. I didn't get that response. And mine is currently still open. Hit me up via PM Breotan if you want me to add it. All my other stuff has been locked in for months but I was considering getting the zombicide models so I had them re-open mine. Might also grab the full load out of the Hadross big beasty since I grabbed the full load out on the other 4 factions and I'm a bit of a nut. Plus it's pretty

Terrance was kind enough to unlock my PM when I emailed him. Give it a try.

edit - Mne was for a dragon and some other stuff, not a TK. I didn't get any "at my own risk" message, though - and realistically I don't foresee any problems.

Are there any good pics of the Orsund Cavalier out there?

First time poster, had to register to ask: does anyone else think the radio silence regarding production means another delay is incoming and they don't want to post that while the base kickstarter is active? I am also starting to think the flood of images is to distract us from the fact they aren't giving real updates. Thoughts?

Do you mean beyond the delays they've already told us about?

All minis have been produced, and the latest delay was due to proofreading and now printing.

Having said all that, would I be shocked if this one didn't ship in December, and got delayed into 2015?

No, I would not!

But, I don't think that will happen - I still believe it will ship out by December at the latest.

I STILL BELIEVE!!!

No.

They had production issues with some of the written material. The plastic stuff is good to go, as represented by all the images in the updates.

Yeah, not worried about it. I hope to see this stuff in December. I'm also hoping Adepticon has a tournament for it on Friday. Cause that would be perfect since I can't convince the Epic guys to move theirs

It went from "Late August, maybe September" to "we really meant late September" to "+6-8 weeks for the printing". So assume that's a full 2 months from the end of Sept/start of October and we're into the start of December. Add shipping time for the boxes to get to where the figures are, packaging time, and we're into January 2015 hoping they can get the shipping finished before CNY.

Greetings, backers! Another studio paint job from House Goritsi to show you today.

We have "Ironeyes" Irene von Goritsi herself! Irene is a Kickstarter exclusive sculpt. She is of the Goritsi line, but can be played as a mercenary.

CMON Jenn said we would get another update Monday. I like the painted pics and all... It seems like they don't want to give a production update while another project is active in case further delays would hurt pledges. On the bright side, CMON Derek released a video today of more painted models and alt sculpts.

I think there is a small chance we get this pre-Christmas, but based on the lack of updating updates, I think it is unlikely. However, I am still excited for this. I may have my pledge reopened and pick up another starter so I can try to get others into the game if it ends up being fun. Currently debating between Teknes and Hadross (already getting the obligatory Goritsi).

the update announcing the printing issue delay was 13th August, and the delay was projected to be 6-8 weeks

that puts us at the very end of September through to the first 2 weeks of October, so I don't expect to hear anything more for another couple of weeks at least

Assuming the printing went ok second time round I'd be reasonably hopeful for US backers to get stuff this year but I begin to think the EU won't

Orlando - agreed!

But I'd say that they cold at least let us know that the printing went well/s]is going well and everything is on track, etc.

It's the second week of October now - albeit early in the week. Do you really expect to hear that they're going to start shipping this week? Because, well,

Mmmmmaybe?

I wouldn't be surprised to hear about stuff starting to leave the factory in the next week or so especially with Mr Black no longer distracted by the bases KS (he does seem to post more often before stuff happens than others at CMON)

then again I wouldn't be shocked to hear nothing either (it is KS after all)

How long stuff would take to get to CMON and then be packed and sent out from the time it leaves the factory... My magic 8 ball says 'future uncertain, check back later'
