ok, so I am planning a long term project to start from scratch for the literal giggles of it.

I decided on a Gnobler uprising after reading through the Ogre Kingdoms book a friend has, as these little guys are bullied worse than a gretchin in an Ork bar!

it gave me a concept for an uprising, unfortunately there is no Gnobler character, so I have to make do with a single ogre in the legal list.

Butcher, lv2, great weapon, gnobler thief stone

Gnobler scrap thrower
Gnobler scrap thrower

29 x 10 gnobler trappers

20 x gnboler trappers w full command (to represent the ring leader).

the list comes to 1999pts.

a friend and I sat down to number crunch and ironically agasint some of the dedicated CC armies out there the units should pay for themselves

what do you guys think? it counts in at 313 models

This sounds like a really fun project If my wallet was not engaged in other things (and if I knew a single person that plays Fantasy Battles) I could see myself doing something like this.

I have no comment on the list itself but as a side note, for the Butcher you could convert. Pile a bunch of Gnoblars on top of each other to make them look "big and scary", and have them carry a great weapon, and use that as a count-as. I know that's what I would do.

Or have the butcher tied up and covered in gnoblars, with the gnoblar king riding on top.

Or a pot bellied orc on a 40mm, painted to look like a Gnoblar.

well, it is supprisingly effective.

what we have learnt:

1) it is unlikely to get tabled due to sheer weight of numbers

2) the little buggers can be quite resilient if you can get a couple of bubble buffs off

3) even if you cannot, it is still funny

was play tested against a 2000pt Ogre list, it dealt 1300pts (ish) of damage, loosing the scenario but only giving out 1450pts. so it was quite close!
