So I posted a little while ago with my first version of this list and was given some pointers which I've taken on board. So before I run off like a giddy child in a sweet shop and start buying Leman Russes left right and center please tell me if you guys think there are any major flaws with my list. Like I said in the thread name this is an imperial armour list (IA1 2nd Ed).

List ammended see below

I would give the veteran sergeants shotguns. This list looks really solid, though. I'd be tempted to try and find 10 points somewhere to give the Chimeras autocannons, but that's probably not the wisest decision.

Woah, list changed on me! Now I would definitely find 15 points somewhere (like those non-coaxial heavy stubbers or the grenade launchers) to upgrade all the Chimera turrets to autocannons.

guessing you mean autocannons Do you reckon they're worth it at BS3? would drop the nade launchers for them.

I really think they're worth the grenade launchers, at the very least. It gives your chimera extra stopping power versus vehicles and some heavy infantry, while the increased AP means it barely loses effectiveness versus light infantry. The range increase can't hurt, either.

Fair enough, thats those switched in. How does the rest of the list look?

5000pts 13 wins 1 draws 9 losses

WoC "where the points don't matter" 6 wins 0 draws 4 losses

Anything else guys? Or do we think thats a solid list?

Edit: I was thinking about putting in a 2nd vulture, dropping the medusa, the armoured fists chimeras autocannons and the infra red targetting on the other vulture, giving me 155 for another punisher vulture on double force org. What'd you think?

I don't think you need more dedicated anti-infantry from a second Vulture, especially considering what you'd be dropping.

Fair enough, though I think i'll be dropping the autocannons in favour of giving the squads missile launchers. Only as the autocannon turrets are £12 a time from Forge World!

Re-worked yet again, this time dropping the medusa for another Russ, I figure Russes can do the same job but have a lot more survivability, plus it suits the army theme better.
