Everyone has one. Be it to own a chapter of space marines, 100 000points of guard, have a room in your house for 40k, or some sort of special scene, what would you do if you had
a)the time
b)the money
and c) the skills?
The sky is the limit, but at the same time I don't think "build a life size land raider with working guns and take over the world" really counts
Heres mine: a 28mm scale space marine cruiser: have it built like a chest of drawers so I could pull out each deck (quarters, chapel, engine room, gun room, flight deck, etc) and have a full scale game on it. I've even measured it out: 2km in 28mm scale is about 4.5m long, and my guess is about 1.2m wide (or +/- 15 ft by 4 ft). Stock it with a full company of space marines, support vehicles, and a flight deck with at least 2 thunderhawks, 8 drop pods and a teleporter area.

DA:80-S+GM++B++IPW40K06-D++A+++/areWD180R+++T(M)DM+ Projects: Warhound and Stuff
Hmm this is actually a very tough question.... I'm pretty happy with the projects I'm currently working on. Nothing I would want is too expensive that I couldn't just buy it now....
I wouldn't mind starting a FW heresy mechanicus army with a mars pattern warhound titan. Once FW expands that army line more I'll definitely be placing an order for 2000 pts + the titan.
A heresy ravenguard army is definitely on my radar as well.
I'm in the process of painting 5 XV89s and 6 XV81s for my farsight enclave - another 3 of each would be a nice way to bump the army to 2500 pts.
Lastly, I'm in the market for a nice glass display case with some cool lighting.
My dream? It's actually pretty simple. I want to play a full apocalypse game, from the beginning to the end, without anyone bailing after the second round.
My dream however is even less realistic than the abovementioned.
More realistic dream? I'd say a full Waaagh Ghazkghull and full Thousand Sons legion.
To have at least 1000 points of every army in 40k, all painted by me, and to have a great, dense and vibrant jungle gaming board. I would also love to have a ring of gamers who I could play with every weekend.
that's my humble wish, but who says that they won't come true?
Basically a 3D-chess inspired battlefield, with bridges and levels and so much cover that there is room for several smaller skirmishes which can happen indipendent from each other.
The war room with the full board, and tons of terrain. I want sets for desert battles, jungle, city, snow, alien worlds.
Also 1500 points of each army would be great. The problem with having my own war room is that I would not want the people that I play with at the FLGS to come over to my house. So hopefully having 1500 points of every army would allow me to get some of my friends to start playing.
The other idea is to get a huge terrain board, a massive cathedral and re-enact the final battle from Helsreach. I need a couple titans, a few stompas/gargants and that ultima tech-marine weapon. I forget its name right now.
But that would be a fun apocalypse game to play. 10k points of BT vs Orks
I'd love to expand an army (Tau or Snakebite orks) to a huge apoc army, with hoards of squiggoths and a manta (or 2).
Something like this size: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/221134.page Unfortunately, this blog has been dead for a while. But the guy was working on 50k of ultramarines and 50k of guard. It's incredible to see, and I'd love to be able to come close to that size.
Along with that, a fully modeled board that is super apocalypse sized to use my new army on would be really nice, if I could find the space for it.
First off, a large house sized full basement with 4 - 5'x6' tables.
Drink holders in those said tables.
Barstool chairs at each table
Secondly, enough terrain to populate those said tables with the obligatory City, Lava, Forest, Desert, Death World, Ice and Moon. Enough so that each table could be set up in that said terrain style.
Good lighting over each table -- ala Pool table hoods.
A refrigerator stocked with any number of good German or American home brewed beers.
TIME TO PLAY THERE!!!
Complete a full Chapter of Blood Ravens, Blood Angels, Space Wolves, Dark Angels, Grey Knights, a full Imperial Guard Regiment, 1 Emperor Class Titan, 3 Warlords, 9 Reavers and 27 Warhounds and have them fight a huge multiway battle against an equal points Ork army, Chaos Daemon/CSM army, Mid army, Necron Army, Eldar and Dark Eldar army on the ultimate battlefield that provides the perfect balance between Shooting and assault, has multiple levels, has awesome Titan vs Titan action, and generally be too awesome.
I'd also like to amass 2 full HH Legions of the full 10k marines+ vehicles and their Primarchs, Sons of Horus and Blood Angels, and have them fight it out.

1) I would like a whole battalion (3 companies of 3 platoons) of IG plus tanks, artillery and air support.
2) A pre-heresy company of white scars
3) An 8'x6' table with a city theme
“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

My local game store actually has a couple sharks with lasers on their heads modeled and in the case. I will try to remember to take a picture and send it to you haha

10 000 pts army for each army, fully magnetized (where upgrades are possible), fully painted, etc.
A table with a scale replica of Buffalo for city fights, plus lots and lots of terrain perfect for the various Xeno races.
And a life-size working replica of a Looted Carnifex.
Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.
Gozer the Gozerian, Gozer the Destructor, Volguus Zildrohar, Gozer the Traveler, and Lord of the Sebouillia
A gamestore in walking distance that serves beer and pizza. But, I'll have to settle for a game room with a couple tables and my kegerator and home brew. I just need escrow to close and I can start making this reality
Mine would have to be what I am working on in my signature (gratuitous plug for my own painting and modelling blog!).
Aside from that, I want to have a shed, not just any shed, but enough room that I can have all of my tools and machines on one side of the wall and my games room on the other with display cases for all the said armies, multiple tables with different terrain sets and a table specifically made for board and card games.
[40k] Orks - Kaptin Grimskragas Razorfangs; Tyranids - Hive Fleet Acidica; Astra Militarum - Murdochs 5th Armoured Detachment & 7th Abhuman Detachment, 17th Tullarium “Immovables” + Remnant of the 6th Tullarium Rifles “The Lucky Few”; Necron - Reclamation Legion of Tomb World Fordris; Inquisition - Ordos Hereticus Witchfinder Tasetus and Coven; Iron Hands - Taskforce of the Garrsak Clan Company; Alpha Legion - XII Ambush Cell; Aeldari - Guiding Light of Yarn Le'ath;
[Warhammer] Empire - Obsidian Order; Bretonnian - Vain Quest for the Grail; Dwarf - Throng of Kark Veng; Ogre Kingdoms - Wondrous Caravan of the Traveller; Tomb Kings - Bronze Host of Ka-Sabar; Chaos Dwarf - Protectors of Hashuts Holy Places; High Elf - Dragonriders of Caledor; Beastmen - Harvesters of Morrslieb;
A large War Basement, because a Basement just seems so much more appropriate than a Room. It would be a thing of glorious beauty.
One wall of this magnificent place would be covered with shelving. On this shelving would be several massive armies- all of my current armies, plus the other armies that I would inevitably purchase. Every model not on a sprue would be painted, as I would have the time and the inclination to do it all...
The second wall would be a bar, with cold beer on tap, and a large complement of wines, spirits and mixers available. Also a phone line, with the local Pizza store on speed-dial. Note that there would not be staff- the pleasure of preparing your beverages would be solely your own. A sound system would also be present, but no television or consoles- this place would pay homage solely to tabletop gaming.
The third wall would be the Hobby Wall. Here would stand paints, brushes, water, painting stations for myself and friends, flock, spraypaint, and most importantly, stacks of plastic drawers in which all of my bitz were classified, first by Army, then into Infantry or Vehicles, then into Weapons, Limbs/Chassis, Torsos and Heads (in the case of Infantry), and Decorations.
The fourth and final wall would include a door that leads upstairs, on the off chance that I ever wanted to leave, along with murals depicting various battles taking place in the 41st Millenium (The Third War for Armageddon and the Thirteenth Black Crusade among them). There would also be a door to a lavatory, to shield against leaving this place of wonder against your will.
In the middle if this room would stand four tables- each would be a different battlefield. One would be a urban sprawl riddled with ruins (think going to your local club and using all the buildings you want). One, a snowy tundra with a Spaceport dominating the terrain. One, a rocky, lava-ridden wasteland warped enough to make Khorne himself weep with joy. Finally, a plain with a river and some trees- in case any Fantasy players turned up.
This... this is my Warhammer Dream.
