I'm thinking of borrowing my buddy's Chaos Marines for a few games, because I love the models and I particularly like Huron Blackheart. I've made a list based around him, let me know what you all think.
HQ
Huron Blackheart
Chaos Lord: Burning Brand of Skalathrax, Power Weapon, Chaos Bike, Aura of Dark Glory
FAST ATTACK
5- Chaos Bikes: 2 Plasma Guns, Mark of Nurgle
5- Chaos Bikes: 2 Plasma Guns, Mark of Nurgle
10- Raptors: 2 Plasma Pistols, Mark of Nurgle
TROOPS
10- Chaos Marines: 2 Plasma Guns, Mark of Nurgle, in a Rhino
9- Chaos Marines: Flamer, Mark of Nurgle, in a Rhino
7- Chaos Marines
HEAVY SUPPORT
2- Chaos Predators: twin-linked Lascannon, 2 side sponson Lascannons
FORTIFICATIONS
1- Aegis Defense Line, Quad Gun
The idea is to Infiltrate bikes and Raptors if possible using Huron's trait. Predators and Quad gun pop transports and other vehicles, 7 man squad manning the quad gun (and probably an objective). Bikes run and gun, as well as the Plasma Marines in the Rhino. Raptors will shoot and assault as necessary. Huron will join the 9 man squad in a Rhino and rush up for assault as well. The Chaos Lord will go with the bikes and the Brand, combined with the Plasma Guns, should put out a whole lotta nasty.

Cant infiltrate bikes only infantry. Id make your biker lord MoN Have huron man the quad with the unit of 7. Infiltrate raptors or keep in reserve.

Which pretty much breaks this list. Taking huron just to infiltrate tiny CSM squads isn't the best use of his infiltration ability.

combine the replace top 2 can squad for 1 large squad of 20 include Huron, give him infiltrate and he will in turn give infiltrate to the squad he joined. if you got points left, give squad MoS a IoE.
give captors meltaguns instead. it's 5 pts cheaper, same range, stronger, lower ap3 & you can still assault. definately worth giving 1 more ccw attacks .

I like Filch's idea of a big blob squad infiltrating, but I don't think I can give it just to Huron and pass it along. I thought Infiltrate was one that each model in the unit had to have, didn't think IC's could join them and Infiltrate. It still works with the idea of the list, as the bikes and Raptors are fast enough to catch up to the Infantry in their movement/run/flat out turn. That's everything in your face turn 2. I'd have to rely on getting 2 units to Infiltrate, but that's OK.
I hadn't looked at the difference in points cost between the plasma and melta, you're right that should be changed. I guess I just wanted to use Plasma, as I haven't had an Army that could take much of it, lol.

No, infiltration doesn't transfer either way. If you want a blob of guys with an IC, that takes two points.
Still, if that's two squads of berzerkers and a blind fury khorne lord, that's still a lot of damage that's 6" closer to where it needs to be.

Actually it DOES work like he said. Give infiltrate to the IC (who is infintry) then join the IC to a unit thereby passing the rule to them as per the BRB pg 38

Sorry, but no.
ICs only join squads when both of them go into reserves, or when the IC deploys in coherency on the table. You can give infiltration to the IC, but the unit that you intend for him to join has to deploy before the infiltration deployments happen, which means you need to deploy that unit using normal rules, and only then can you infiltrate the IC, after its too late.

Meh, I've never seen it played like that. The IC can still join them for out flanking though.
