In reply to the two posts.

First Holo Fields are a must, in a serpent spam list you can drop them based on preference because of target saturation with only 3 serpents, that are being used to transport units that matter you need the added cover. The cannons I would say are optional, but very very useful, here is why, if you want to you can keep your shield up and still fire two weapons, and 2nd since your going to be charging towards them its a very good extra punch on the serpents. Even if you got over 6' you can snap fire the cannon and with rerolling you should get a hit out of it.

Your right 2 seers means that your have to make two groups with your units, 12' apart, but tbh there is almost no situation where your going to be flying your 3 serpents in completely opposite directions.

The knight is vulnerable to ID its true, Black Maces, distort, other forms of ID are all things that should give you chills its just a matter of knowing that its a weakness and avoiding it.

2 knigts vs 1 knight 2 lords, this honeslty needs playtesting, also it comes down to what you can get with the extra points as i don't have my codex with me at work I can't say how many are left over. I think if i could cut the 2 wraithlord get a stock knight cut 3 bikes and afford a jetbike farseer with mantle i would probably opt for that. prescience/guide on the knights would be very nice.

The knights/lords are there for AV14 and tarpitting large units that you don't want to have on your guard, so you have to weight the BL shots from the lords vs shots from stock knights vs av14 most likely twin linked by a farseer. And which is better at tarpitting/melee the 2 lords or a knight.

Lastly i want to point out the only reason why i like the suncannon/shield knight is because its going to be your warlord, if you were willing to make something else your warlord i.e. farseer with mantle on bike. I would suggest a stock knight as the st 10 long range shots and ability to not really care if it dies as a bullet magnet are very useful.

otherwise with your preference for lords over 2nd knight this should be one mean list

Do you think it would be better to swap the two wraithlords for another wraithknight and spend the spare points on vehicle upgrades?

I think 2 wraithlords has more firepower than 1 wraithknight, and probably just as hard (or harder) to kill because they're two units.

See above it depends on what your shooting at/for As far as v.s. AV 12-14 the stock knights win. the scatterlaser shots are covered by the serpents so you have to look at whats shooting what.

You Can't rely on the wraithguard killing all the high AV because alot of it needs to be killed before you get into range with the guard. Their shots are for supporing fire in later turns you need the knight/lords to kill the priority high AV targets as you charge towards them.

Also as far as 2 lords/knights which is harder to kill this is where the playtesting comes in.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
TBH as far as iyanden lists goes this is where the playtesting needs to be put in because there just aren't that many people running these lists.

As Far as I know there is one person already running this list, he is somwhere on dakka might want to look for him.

I would either run your list or something like this

Farseer jetbike mantle (spear if points)

2x spiritseer

1-2 bike units depending on points

2x wraightguard wave serpent holofields/cannon
1x wraightguard scythe wave serpent vectored/holofields/cannon

wraithknight stock
wraithknight stock

Again no codex but if extra points beyond 2 bike units and spear look to add on wraithguard to normal unit or a bike or runes of warding

mmmm...not if you give the wraithlords twin brightlances. Four brightlances shooting at two targets is better than one suncannon.

Was at my 40k night tonight went over vectored engine rules with another eldar friend they turn out to not really work how i wanted them to so they may be wasted points in an iyanden list.

Ok so to playtest i would recommend just a couple changes

2 spiritseers

3 jetbikes
3 jetbikes
5 wraithguard with wraithcannons in a wave serpent with scatter lasers, shuriken cannon and holo fields
5 wraithguard with wraithcannons in a wave serpent with scatter lasers, shuriken cannon and holo fields
5 wraithguard with d-scythes in a wave serpent with scatter lasers, Shuriken cannon, holo fields and spirit stones

wraithknight with suncannon, scattershield and scatter laser
Wraithlord with ghostglaive, BL and scatter laser dual flamers
Wraithlord with ghostglaive, BL and scatter laser dual flamers

Do not take anything otyher than scatter lasers on the wave serpents
