Hi All,

Looking for the best daemons list to run in a tournament I'll play shortly against friends only (most of them play nids or DA). Can use any help since I am pretty new to the 6th new rules.

HQ
Bloodthirster with exalted reward (ethernal blade)
Great Unclean One with lvl3 Biomancy, 2x greater reward
Herald of Slaanesh with Exalted Locus of Beguilement, Exalted Reward (Polygraph), Lesser Reward
Herald of Tzeentch level 3 Change/ Divination, Exalted Reward (Polygraph), Exalted Locus of Conjuration

TROOP
20x Daemonettes with Allure upgrade
10x Pink horrors

HEAVY SUPPORT
Soulgrinder with pleghm and MoN

ALLIES
HQ
Daemon Prince with wings, power armor, black mace
Chaos Lord with MoN

6x Plague Marines with 2 plasma and rhino
6x Plague Marines with 2 plasma and rhino

Obviously I like running FMC but I do realize this list might have to change a bit to be more competitive.

Are they allowing Double FOC?

If so, you'll need more Daemon troops.

Also, looks like only one HQ for your allies, too.

Yeah your list is not legal. You have 3 HQ choices for the primary and only 2 troops choices. Likewise the Alludes has 2 HQs where you're only allowed 1.

It looks like your DP is not marked which is also illegal.

You have no troops choices for your allies as Plague Marines are elites.

It also looks like you want 2 of the same Hell forged artefacts which is also not allowed.

Two flying AP3 flamers plus 8d6 S5 shots from the Horrors. Fateweaver using his reroll on the grimoire. Then the Screamer choir. 26 wounds with 8 divination powers almost guaranteeing Foreboding for that 4++ which the Grimoire makes a 2++ retelling 1s because you're Tzeentch, prescience plus probably 14d6 S6 shots and a boat load of AP2 CC attacks as you multi-assault everything with your rerollable 2++ Screamerstar of ultimate doom. Just pray you don't go 2nd...

You are right that his 3 Primary Detatchement HQs is illegal, unless its double FOC which I believe his list is, then he needs 4 Daemon Troops.

You are spot on, Plague Marines cannot be troops in an allied detatcment, only when you have a Nurgle Lord in a Primary Detatchment can you make Plague Marines Troops. Again his list design looks like double FOC.

Also, you can't take multiple Portalglyphs(I assume thats what Exalted Polygraph is).



The 8-10 Attack Blood Thirster is pretty nasty. So is the Biomancy GUO, I once face two GUOs at 1k, nasty.

Looks you need a fundamental list redesign to come up with a legal list.



Edit: FlingitNow's list is pretty nasty though it has the potential to fall on its face. Even with 8 rolls on Divination you still have a 23% chance of not getting Foreboding. Even with Foreboding you have a chance of failing the psychic test or the 1/9 chance of failing the Grimiore even backed up by Fateweaver. Though, when it works its virtually unstoppable.
