My old Imperial Fists commander got the nickname Captain Awesome because he never once died in hand to hand combat even when swarmed by sisters repentia in one game. Just a standard Captain with storm bolter and single lightning claw. Didn't even have a paired weapon bonus attack. Just seemed that he always rolled amazing in melee and his opponents always rolled awful. So I started throwing him out as melee bait and my opponents would throw a couple of units at him in CC and he'd continue to win and then they would finally vaporize him with a fusillade of heavy weapons fire.

He is one of a handful of minis I kept my Imperial Fists and I am looking to find a role for him in my DA army now.

Might make you happier to know that while Captain Awesome was doing his thing in melee the rest of the army was usually gettings its backend handed to it, so it was more of a focus on the cool thing and ignore the bad stuff kind of thing.

"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.

A nob warbiker. I call him simply "the pale rider" . I added DE bits to his bike. It was my first conversion. My fluff for him is that he accidentally added ancient eldar tech that allowed him to travel the webway on his bike. He's also got an ancient artifact that allows him to teleport through the warp. Because of this and the lack of a warp field he's been tainted by the warp making his skin a pale green. He's smarter than the average ork (possibly smarter than a mek)
And thousands of years old.

And Gubstop. Urlurk. My AOBR boss that has a forgeworld dreadnought arm in place of his PK. I paid a dollar for the boss and $8 for the MKIV arm. I was soo happy to play around with him and spent soo much time and effort. He's the boss of da whole crew. I count the storm bolter on his shoulder as an attack squig and his arm is a bosspole in itself. it was the second boss I ever built.

another beautiful model..or are mine just sub-par? well probably both.

id practice bloodying some tau or ultra-smurfs XD

and good luck with this, i found spatter as simple as getting your brush wet with desired blood color, and using your finger to flick the bristles on the model. it'll get blood on more than just a weapon...but who ever heard of an orc NOT soaked in the blood of his dismembered enemies?

i can't wait till i can face an orc army...i think my army would do well against a green sea strategy, but i don't have much Anti-Armor so i could also be at a great disadvantage with that setup.

There must always be a tank..... of some kind.
I don't have a single unit that is my "favorite", and the most commonly used model is my Company Commander but he is not my "favorite" overall.

Otherwise, in terms of tank that is used most often it is a Leman Russ battle tank that I scratch built after seeing thread #5 of "Imperial tanks shouldn't work" or something to that degree, complaining how the tanks should not work due to X factors and blah blah blah.

Well I designed and built him with knowledge of real tanks mechanical workings and such and came out with "The Vanguard"

Overall he is used the most out of my tanks. He always seems to make his points up 3 fold hammering away at enemy infantry or getting the kill shot on an enemy vehicle.

In his first game, a 2v2 against DE and CSM he entered the board with his fellow kommandos, who immediately got ripped to shreds by Reaver bladevanes, leaving only Batork left. He didn't give a zoggin 'eck and went on to blow up two csm Rhinos with his klaw before he got shot down by bolter fire. All the while quoting the Dark Knight.
