Working on that particular model is a lot of fun. Ive gotten it from my friends (which happen to be my local gaming group) for my birthday.
This isnt my first forgeworld model but definitely the first full resin vehicle kit and the largest model ive ever worked on. Also since i didnt enjoy it so far this is literally my first vehicle after a whole lot of infantry for the past years.

The build was easier than expected nevertheless these resin kits are definitely different to the plastic kits gw sells. And hell is that thing huge! (thats what she said)

Right now its basecaoted. This was the first time for me using masking tape and different spray can basecoats. Worked like a charm. The yellow is as crisp as i hoped to get it. The pictures wash it out and let it look like bare resin but the rest is definitely basecoated with army painter wolf grey .

Now im thinking to either copy this approach to break up the yellow:

or go for standard hazard stripes:

Whats your call?

Nice work so far. I would have to say if it were me, I would pick the first option (not hazard stripes) as it will show off that it is space wolves much more than hazard stripes.

Had some progress yesterday. Im going to complete the hazard stripes on the nacelles and wings. Im just not good with highlighting black :(

@ Uncool Villain
Thanks for your reply . Ive gone for the hazard stripes look in the end because i always liked the looks .

Hazard stripes are done. At least they are in their pre weathering stage and i started with the engines.

Afte staring at the model for a while i decided to do one of the wings completely first before i move forward with the rest of the model. A test-wing if you want . Obviously its not done. They grey part needs chipping too and im not completely happy with the "lines" of oil/dust/whatever.

Hey logan,

Yes ,im planning to add some decals. Right now my freetime reduced greatly due to finding a new job but i hope to get this thing done soon. I will post a new update as soon as possible.
