Ok this is my first list at 1000 points

Nemesor Zandrekh

Triarch stalker with TL heavy gauss cannon

7immortals with gauss boasters

2 heavy destryers
10 warriors in ghost ark
9 warriors (with zandrekh) in ghost arc

Nice.

Couple of suggestions:

a) Make Z walk with 14 warriors, leaving 5 in the Ark. Z can tank wounds for the squad. Or leave the warriors as is and put Z with the immortals.
b) Make the immortals Tesla, because that's better with twin ilnking.
c) See how you go with the heavy destroyers. They tend to die quite easily. If you are finding they die easily, switch to AB and add more warriors or immortals with the left over points.

Note that you don't really have a tarpit or CC unit, so you'll need to be careful not to get charged.

Most of my meta is ranged so no problems there

And I'll probably do C as well seeing as how the range is better on the AB

Most armies in my meta out range me so I need the transport vehicles

Anni Barges are probably the most point efficient unit in our codex. Go with that.

What unit makes a good tarpit close combat

Necrons don't do tarpits. I2 hurts more than Ld 10 helps.

Closest thing to a tarpit is a bunch of scarabs or maybe 5 lychguard with Swords and Boards.

If you want CC, take wraiths (Praetorians with a DLord can work but you need to use them properly).

Praetorians can work but not nearly as good as wraiths since for 10 more points you get 6 wraiths and toss on 10 more for however many whips you want

You haven't taken Flayed Ones, so yes, it's a fine list.

Although, in a 1000 point game you might want to consider exchanging the Triarch Stalker for a couple of Anni Barges or extra infantry. 165 points is just too much to invest into one, easily shot down, model at that points threshold.
