The bare arms and face are awesomely sculpted! Sick details. I thought Angron was really cool but this takes it up a notch.

Nicely done FW!

Watched the video twice, it's even better than I imagined! I'm glad that Xmas and my birthday are at the same time, I'm going to have to get all of these now

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

And it actually does help with Fulgrim's model too (his pose doesn't look as weird) with the 2 of them together.

Beautiful model. But rereading Fulgrim, at Istavaan V, Ferrus uses a sword while Fulgrim uses the hammer.

This is the end battle, not the first. So Fulgrim removes Ferrus's head with his demon sword

They did an incredible job with Ferrus. It's been a really long time since I was stunned by a 40k mini (the last one being Inquisitor Rex when I first saw him) but that one is one of the best looking I've seen since.

So, he's the Primarch of the Iron Hands chapter, his hands are made of iron, and his name means in latin Iron Hands? Yeah, we get it, Gee-dubs.

Model is great, name is godawful and kind of a deal killer. Obviously my issue with this actually predates this model significantly.

Now that I have that off my chest, I need to get back to work on the chapter master of my own custom chapter, the Red Blades - Captain Redblade, who has a red blade in each hand.

Don't forget he also has armour of the redsword, a redsword necklace, a red sword talisman and the oath of redsword.

You actually have a problem with this particular case? A name is given to a (nameless) character after a very specific and defining physical trait and then passed on to a formation he's almost literally the blueprint for, to the point most members of said formation would replace their actual hands with prosthetics.

For once it makes sense and isn't even close to the Bloodmissiles and Bloodfists of the general 40k setting.

Great model BTW.

Naming conventions don't put me off amazing models. And this model is definitely my favorite primarch so far. I'm also now super excited for Perturabo when he eventually gets released. The Primarchs have been going from strength to strength.

And I'll second that adding Manus to Fulgrim in a diorama makes Fulgrim even better.

Yeah, Fulgrim's vertical motion contrasts nicely with Manus's horizontal motion.

Ferrus looks AWESOME. I was kind of torn about what Legion to do, but this made up my mind. I'll probably be preordering him when they put him up on the FW website.

To hell with Ferrus, bring us Colonel Kurtz, primarch of the Night Lords, wait..... something is wrong there... just cant put my finger on it.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs

Ferrus is the first Primarch model from FW Im disappointed with. His head/face is so ordinary, looks like any old generic Sergent to me. And the paint job, a sort of tan effect on him? isnt he from Medusa a world perpetually gloomy where the sun rarely breaks through? Is he holidaying in Florida?
Thought they should have bulked him out significantly more too. The interlock with Fulgrim is a cool idea though.

QFT. That mini made me wish I'd kept my tiny little Iron Hands army from before they got any support.

Either way, that guy's epic, though, and I might still paint one up.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

A great model, let down by two things; the paintjob makes his face look derpy, he even has slightly crossed-eyes - you'd think for a Primarch piece they'd have made the effort to check and correct that sort of error; and the weird servo-backpack-thingy.

Don't get me wrong, the pack is tre cool, a very nice set of servo-arms there, but I have two problems with it. The first is that it makes the model look off-balance to me, as if he's about to fall over backwards. The second is that it's conceptually redundant; Ferrus could shape materials and repair machinery with his bare hands, he'd have no need of a servo-harness.

Still, he's not beyond salvation; cut down the bottom of the scenic base a bit so he's a bit more horizontal, like he's leaning into the swing of the hammer instead of trying to swat the Pink Prancing Pony Primarch, then mess about with the back of the torso so it looks good without the extraneous gubbinz attached, and of course paint the face properly.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal
