I hope that you're successful too!

Hard to see it happening without the miniatures featuring more prominently, but you never know.

Still, best of luck here!

I think £50 for 2 games and a set of 7 resin miniatures (which I saw painted up at Salute, and are gorgeous!) is more than fair enough. Although being in Europe and pledging in my own currency does make the pricing even more attractive!

I think the project is slightly unfortunately caught in a space where low-cost plastics require a large amount of money to set up, but are such an important part of the game's aesthetics that people don't feel satisfied that they're getting 'enough' in the base game without them.

I don't mind the cardboard so much- I've got the Okko games, and they had a similar set up (plus the art on the cardboard is done by the comic's artist).

This is just really bad timing for me. I'd love to back it, but I think I'm going to have to sit this one out for now. I do plan at least trying to track down a copy of the base game in English when I can find one at retail.

Good luck!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Hi Highlord,

Yes I know that you followed us on our previous campaign. Even if you can not join us now, thank you for your support.

I mean, I won't lie. Having to pay that much for shipping is a huge turn off for me. Have you sought out a US distributor at all to help curb that?

Additionally, I think it may behoove you, if you're going to translate the actual costs in your graphics to two currencies, to do the same for USD as well. I'm smart enough to jump over to XE to get the conversion, but I know there are plenty of people in the states that won't even back anything if they have to figure out the costs themselves.

Now, I'm tentatively in for one of the VIP packages, which with shipping, comes out to just under $100. Like I said, I really love the aesthetic, but would really love a better gameplay example.

I also may order some of the minis in the meantime because they look like they'd be fun to paint. Whats you're typically shipping time to the states?

@ cincydooley, we do not have US distributor for miniatures. Asmodee will distribute our games in US.

Regarding the USD translation, we will see to make the convertion.

Regarding the shipping time from France to US, it may be 5 days.

That seems really fast... maybe if it's east coast USA it'd be possible, but there can be a few / several days just getting across the US.

Sending packages to France from the USA I think takes 6-10 business days if it's sent Priority.

I think this will fund, it seems like a good deal now for starters into the CW universe.

If you buy the 40/50gbp levels and add all the CWDT minis, the price is nearly identical to the VIP Platinum pledge that I had before (except I don't get the same 5 free minis anymore, 2 of which were KS promos :( )

I pladged VIP again and hope others pledge for this game too as I would like to own this game/minis.

@ RiTides, you are right. That depend on where you live. I was talking about east coast (Atlanta for example).

However, shipping are scheduled for july 2014. Parcels should arrive at time.

@ 455_PWR : nice to see you back in the campaign. Do not worry for the promos minis. The first will be unlocked very soon and the second will arrive too if we are funded. For the 3rd, I hope but I can not ensure. Fabien [FLUO Games]

This is kind of on the edge... I hope it funds, as 2 failures in a row would be a bummer. But, they need to raise 10K more (in pounds!) to do it... in 10 days.

Sadly, I don't think it's going to happen. The Gameplay previews are a bit confusing, and the "deal" just doesn't seem to be there for many people.

Which is a shame, because I think the stuff you get for $75 USD is pretty darn good.

Lol... seriously, you might want to consider changing the name in the US.

That, or lean into it, and name the first expansion "Race Wars". What, its a NASCAR based wargame... Why is everyone looking at me funny?!

Thanks for the heads up, kakou! I love everything about these guys and have put in a small pledge

Looks like a long way to go, though - also very interesting to see that he was behind Gob'z'Heroes which did really well!

Ouch... I pledged on both prior campaigns. Looks like I have to pledge over 150 euros to get the minis... not worth it. Wish they would just give us what we want and create a minis pledge for 110 euros.

Greed will kill... it's killed two campaigns and it seems to be sucking the life out of this one too.

@Bossk_Hogg : that is an interesting point of vue. I will try another name to check if it change something.
@RiTides : thank you for your comment and joining us again !
@455_PWR : We are currently working on a solution to propose lower prices. Anyway, you will need a copy of the Art book to order miniatures. Miniatures are add-ons, not our main activity.

I undertand, but as a backer of your past two, prices have driven folks away. I really want the game with minis... i was very saddened to see the past two campaigns fail. Kickstarter is about deals, promos, reward for the risk we take. Most folks here want the game and minis, not books (miniature gaming website after all).

Thats why I was trying to imply was that giving the public options to buy what they want, instead of limiting the customer base is wise. The other way just makes it look like you want folks to spend alot on things they wont use to get 25 minis. Why cant we buy minis only or get them with a softcover book? Right now folks can spend $100 for a ton of plastic minis, cards, boards, rule books, etc for rum and bones, or get almost 50 minis for $ 50 for spm's kickstarter.

It all comes down to money spent and what one gets in return. I just don't want to see another defunct campaign as I love the setting for color wars.

@455_PWR, thank you for your comment.

I totally understand your point of vue and your needs but as I said, we are an Art Book publisher now, not a game publisher.

We made very attractive prices for french made resin miniatures, we can't do lower price with resin.

I also precise that if you come from Dark Threat campaign we offer you one free miniature. So 2 with the KS exclusive.

You must understand that more miniatures Add-Ons we add on the campaign, less visibility the Art Books gets.

This is why we decided to delate the 1€ pledge. It was confusing.

So Even if I would like to, the deal is not about making miniatures. Miniatures are Add-Ons and will help us to reach our goal.

As you, I do not want to see another defunct campaign. We worked hard on. But this is not a reason to make anything to get money.

We listened to you and made the best miniature offer we can in this context.

When we will made a partnership with another publisher for miniatures and games, things will be different but for now, we must keep that point.

I just went to inform you that Color Warz Miniatures are available for a limited time and I noticed that some of you joined us.

Nobody has wrong, we are juste talking about two different things.

@455_PWR, I made a new "MiniZ" pledge to respond to your needs : 120€ for 25 resin miniatures + the Digital Artbook.
So the book is 50% off (10€ instead of 20€). I can't made a lower price on it according other offers.

I also inform you that we will offer one free miniature for all Dakka members that will join us for free.
See FAQ at the bottom of the main page for more informations.

=> https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1741591101/color-warz-khroma

So 26 resin miniatures (27 if you take in count the KS exlusive) for 132€ shipping cost included (12€ for USA).

But do not loose time to join us. It only remains less than 57 hours !

Appreciate you adding the pledge level! There's a lot pledged but going to need a big push here to hit the goal, hope it makes it to the finish.
