Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone could answer a quick question for me; is it possible to build a unit of Scouts from the Land Speeder Storm kit?

I don't like the look of 6 guys hanging out of the thing, especially given that it is so small, so was thinking of leaving just the driver and gunner in an trying to use the rest to make a unit of Scouts. However seeing as I don't have the kit I'm not sure if this is possible, and would like to know in advance.

There are pics of the sprues on GW's site.

I recall a thread a while back of someone who had magnetized the scouts and made special bases so he could disembark them. IIRC some were sitting on boxes, or had legs up on rocks, etc, but he did it.

I agree, the LSS looks a bit crowded and busy. I'm thinking of picking one up myself, and would do the same as you. Just the crew, leave the passengers out.

Well converting doesn't bother me. I saw the sprues on GW alright, and at a glance look like they are workable, but just wanted to ask for experiences to be sure.

A guy at my FLGS did that, although one guy looks like he's leaning back to take a nap.

**Paradigm**

It's certainly doable (I've done it myself, as well as making the storm a normal speeder. LS and scout squad essentially Buy One Get One Free!) but it will take a bit of effort, and as has been mentioned, you might need some creative basing to get them to sit right. Also, if you already have any scout parts spare, having them on-hand might be a good idea, as not everything will fit when converted straight from the LSS.

I just built one recently. When I was building it, I had the thought that the passengers would look decent as a disembarked scout unit. I believe it can be done, however at the time, (and still) I do not have the cofidence to attempt the conversions. If you do one, I would LOVE to see it done however. Then I might even shamelessly "steal" the basic design and run with it.

I did convert some of my own and might still convert more. I'd show you pictures if I had any.
