I've never found much of his writing scary - although I've greatly enjoyed some of his books.
This did unsettle me when I was younger though

The Mist is awesome - even the film is good (although the end is different)
The Raft was good - I like that he never explains what that thing is.
I also like the one about the evil grandma and the one about the clapping monkey toy, but I forget their names.
I also liked The Running Man (the film adaption though ) and anything castle rock based - the dark half, needful things etc.
Never liked Cujo though - I like the idea, it just takes so long to get giong...

The only thing Steven King related that I've seen/read is the episode from some TV series where a hitman gets a box of soldiers who come to life and attack him.
Wasn't so much horror as pure awesome
On topic: this is either the ultimate prankster or the ultimate serial killer in training, I'm not sure which.
At least its happening to the Brits and not us

That was part of a series - 'Nightmares and Dreamscapes' iirc.
The first episode was awesome - the rest meh. Of course I sat through most of them hoping for something as good as the first episode...
